Sadly I couldn't make it even if I tried. Opinions about Serenity and Firefly aside it would still be cool to be able to say that you watched a few films with the guy.

Wow, seems like someone tinkled in a lot of people's Wheaties today.

Anyway, this makes me sad that I won't be there. Very sad. I think I will go juggle geese. Goslings.

I'd have most likely gone. If I lived in America.

Which I don't, goddammit.

Okay I'll give Joss that Serinity was actually pretty good. Now if it said he wants to watch Firefly he'd have to listen to me critique the whole friggin show.

If I were to attend I'd leave once Dr. Horrible started because it falls under the same category as Firefly for me.

Hm? Oh yes, the category. Firefly and Dr. Horrible are stored in my mind as: OVERRATED
I wouldn't say he's overrated. A small ammount of fans are very loud about their love. You don't really hear much about the folks who don't like his stuff.

Now that's just cynical! That's a calm and reasonable remonstration you've received there. Poor show, dear fellow, poor show.

Unlike Firefly, which was not a poor show.

(O_O)

Why them? WHY? Any other org but them. (=_=)

Ehh, I'll just cut a check to other various organizations and watch it at home, win/win for everybody. :p
/This and Childsplay could do wonderful things with that money.

Oh my I would love to see Serenity in theaters again. Top that I need a group to host a play through of Firefly (I don't care if its for a cause or not) here.

But seriously, what the hell, man? Dr. Horrible and Firefly both have Nathan Fillion in them. Nathan. Fillion. NATHAN FILLION.

That, and Dr. Horrible is Neil Patrick Harris. Fucking NPH, man! Dude. For serious. I am disappoint.. :(

What ARE you talking about? Joss Whedon has been a long-time supporter of Equality Now for YEARS. How the hell is it a bad organization when it's a GREAT cause?

Yes, but Whedonverse and Child's Play aren't exactly.. A neat fit.

Joss has ALWAYS supported (and written) strong, fearless female characters. Equality Now suits that well. CSTS has been supporting it for many, MANY years.

Awesome!

Now, if only Serenity was anything better than decent. That's not Whedon's fault, he had to compress a satisfying conclusion to a masterpiece into a feature length production.

Serenity is a crime, and Fox Network is the criminal. At this point, they're really a career offender.

Dr. Horrible on the other hand, was the best thing to come out of the writer's strike.

Which is perhaps the only thing I do not like about him. :L

It is my honest opinion that the group is not a very good organization, due to it not really being equality they are campaigning for, but the general curbstomping of males.

That, and their certain hissy fit over a certain H-game.

I fully support equality in ever way, shape and form for all sexes, sexual orientations, races, religious backgrounds, ages, persons in general, ect.

How so? Both are awesome. Looks like a fit to me. :p

He has always written females that can kick just as much ass as any male in any media. Equality Now is more of "Women that are better than Men in every way".

I'll instead be buying DVDs of previous Whedon works and marathon them, but I shall donate to various children's organizations before doing so. I will support both him and orgs that I support. Win/Win :p

WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE ON THE WEST COAST WHEN I LIVE ON THE EAST COAST

Joss Whedon is pretty much my god. I'd kick an orphan to be there. You know that Buffy episode with the magic varsity jacket that made everyone obsessed with that guy? Yeah. That would be the level that I want to be there.

I... may be a little obsessed with Buffy/Firefly/Dr. Horrible. But hey! It's not like I've memorized almost every Buffy episode or anything!

[small]...Yes I have. Don't judge me. >_>[/small]

I've never liked Fillion as an actor.
Ben Browder is about 20% cooler
