Well I'm due for about one failed topic every month, figured I'd get November's knocked out early. :p

Hello my fellow Escapists! We all know the magic (mind-numbing garbage :p) that can be found on youtube, right? Well this is a topic about the random journeys that can find yourself traveling on while snooping around on that video site. You know the one's I'm talking about. The one's where you say to yourself "Hey, wait a minute...I was just looking up how to get an achievement in Dark Souls...how the hell did I end up watching Two Girls One Cup Reaction videos?!" This topic serves as a sort of Captain's Log where you can record and share those journeys that Youtube has taken you on.

Bare minimum is what you originally searched for and watched and what you ended up watching by the end of your journey. But, just like with Lord of the Rings, the fun is IN the journey, so if you can remember the whole train of videos that lead you from watching your a funny flash animation video to suddenly watching some guy talking about the 10 irrefutable pieces of evidence that PROVE that Elvis Presley shot JFK - all thanks to those little "related/suggested videos" along the right side - then by all means, post the whole journey.

For instance, tonight my journey has gone as such:
AVGN Game Glitch Episode > Some guy beating Mario 64 in under 6 minutes and without collecting any stars > Someone beating the 3 levels in The Impossible Game > Some guy doing a bullshit and easy to see through "I Can Read Your Mind" magic trick > Some guy showing off the Hell's Diamond shape he made with Zen magnets > Some guy making a big soap bubble with dry ice vapor > 13 minutes of a family throwing 200 pounds of dry ice into a swimming pool > An astronaut playing around with a sphere of water in zero g for 5 minutes > a mathematician talking about the various kinds of infinity > the same mathematician talking about the "famous" problem from Good Will Hunting and explaining why it's not really that hard > now watching a different mathematician (from the same channel as the previous two videos) describing the significance of the number 666.

So yeah, I went from watching one of my favorite Angry Video Game Nerd episodes to watching some smarty-pants talk about the number of the beast....wow.

So I ask you, what amazing adventures have YOU gone on while browsing Youtube?

Well, I forget what I was browsing. But I do know, that it had nothing in common with what I ended up at. I somehow ended up at a death metal band called "Anal Vomit" screaming a song in some foreign language.

When I'm bored, I also tend to look up Alien sightings, abductions, and conspiracy theories. I've ended up at some guy saying that an alien took off several of his fingers with it's mind when it broke from it's cell in Area 51.

I remember going from listen to Zelda raps to watching Haruhi Suzumiya clips (before actually watching the show at the time) to Ronald McDonald(?) to finding more YouTube Poops involving Billy Mayes... Despite that being my first time just clicking on videos with interesting thumbnail stills, I say that was a perfect day in the year 2008...

I do remember going on an abridged series journey on YouTube where I went from Yu-Gi-Oh! (LittleKuriboh) to Pokemon (not 1KidsEntertainment) to FullMetal Alchemist (not faulerro, but some other british YouTuber) to Sailor Moon (discontinued and does not exist anymore) to .Hack// (only two episodes based on the video game, though) to Kingdom Hearts (it ended two years ago "unfinished") to Bobobo (made by a girl who I would later see voice a cool-ass pony) and then back to Yu-Gi-Oh!...

I got to say, 2008 and 2009 had the best journeys through YouTube that I can vaguely remember... The only thing that came close so far was this year, during mid-spring, where I was just looking up super-new random pony videos and ended up looking at an old episode of Tuff Puppy on a channel that had about 15 or so other videos filled with straight-up uncensored amateur porn... with the Tuff Puppy episode being the only upload that wasn't porn as well as the first thing this particular channel uploaded...

I can't say I, myself, could ever try to do one of those journeys again without reminded of the time I tried looking up "porn" on YouTube... (Thanks YouTube... You can stop recommending me softcore-related videos...) Damn my young, perverted self back then...

I went from Oldspice commercials to this. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjXN_xPQd0M] Free cookie for the person who can make the link between those two, in particular a certain channel.

I often go a weird journeys through youtube. For example, last night I started to watch JWittz's Pokemon videos, to watching the music video to Tangled up by Caro Emerald and watching clips from Sherlock. From there I watched the straightd0pe's videos on fakesagan and cody weber, watched Penn and Teller: Bullshit! and ended the night watching cloud8745's walkthrough on Silent Hill 2. I don't know what made me bounce from one video to another, but I had a lot of fun doing it.

Well I once went from Saints Row 2 Sountrack: The Krunch 106.66 - Resurrection to Jesus Chatline - Pray the Gay Away (June 10, 2012).

I honestly have no idea how.

OH, I KNOW OF CLOUD8745!I used to rather religiously watch his videos (figuratively not literally). I tend to forget those journeys through Youtube, I was just thrilled to find someone else familiar with that user.

I don't really go on them, my mate occasionally sends me the end results of his journeys though. Behold.

Just how many anime theme song remixes do you have to go through to find this fine abomination?

What.......the fuck.......was that?

Someone driving a steamroller transformer and apparently racing a gay guy riding a man-cycle which transforms into a man-segue that fires plasma balls from his crotch......

Ohhhh the magical wonders of youtube.

On one of these random expeditions into the other side of YouTube, I found what is possibly the most satisfying video to watch... awesome music ensues.

Yeah, I love cloud8745. He has a new channel now if you are interested, xcloud8745x. He doesn't do that many full walkthroughs anymore, it mainly consists of livestreams and boss videos with a few top 10 videos here and there, but they are quite enjoyable none the less.
