Hey, so my father is old. So old that he cant handle the WSAD movement system that has become standard for movement on just about any PC game out there today. But he is constantly pinning for the days when the joystick was the primary device for in game movement. So I have been trying to find some games for him that would allow him to use a joystick, I got him

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-963291-0403-Attack-3-Joystick/dp/B0000ALFC5/ref=pd_sim_vg_1

but other than flight sims I can't find anything for him to play, any ideas?

Freespace 2 is the best game I've ever played with my own force feedback joystick. One of the few games that really uses it to its full potential.

Older game but it's available at gog.com at a pretty cheap price and with the SCP mod it still manages to look pretty damned good.

Joystick is also the best way to play the old Mechwarrior games, although those don't really use force feedback all that well unfortunately and I always turn it off. Still there's nothing quite like piloting a 100 ton stompy machine of death via joystick, great experience. Best of all? Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries (Not the best of the Mechwarrior series but still a damned good game in its own rights) is absolutely and completely legally free and can be downloaded right here.

Those are my 2 favourite joystick experience. Have fun and good luck!

Mechwarrior Online is on it's way, and if they're doing it right it will have great joystick integration.
