A youtube video has gone viral depicting a Judge beating his 15 year old daughter repeatedly with a belt and verbally abusing her for using the internet. Check out the video if you haven't seen it.

Here is my thoughts. The first time I watched it my initial reaction was thinking how horrible this is and wishing him to pay. But, then I remember the story of the teenager starved to 37 pounds unable to speak or move found wallowing in his own feces and urine.

Judge William Adams did go way over board. He crossed or even leaped over the line between discipline and child abuse. This video just happened to go viral. Parents have done far worse to their children, this one just happened to get caught on tape.

I don't mean to sound like I'm defending him in any way. But, this is NOTHING compared to the abuse some children have endured from the their parents.

What are your thoughts?

Also, the point you seem to be making kind of sucks. Just because worse things have happened doesn't make what DID happen to this girl any less heinous.

Sorry, I didn't see the original thread. Anyways I wasn't trying to say this wasn't heinous. As I said I'm not trying to defend him. But, I am merely pointing out how this instance isn't anything new or special. It just caused an outrage and reaction due to being caught on tape, when similar or far worse crimes get largely ignored.
