I'm disappointed in you Yahtzee. As a coder you should know that that's "Titanfall bitwise OR 2". Clearly they're setting a flag of some sort on this "titanfall" variable.

Yahtzee, one of the things I love about your videos is your attention to detail on weapons and armor.

Yes, there's several hundred years of source material for all types of armor for humans to wear and all types of ways to put it together. I even saw a historical recreation show where a couple guys got suited up in full plate and then ran short sprints and did somersaults in it to demonstrate how flexible the armor was. I don't think much of the armor you showed in the video would compare very well with that.

That's the trouble with video game armor: it has to look stylish and functional, and show how it gets put on and taken off. Don't think I didn't see that little VISOR tab on the helmet, CoW, because I bloody well did!

SR? Obviously partway through the latest CoD, presumably as you're shooting Russians with your supergun, the Awakening will hit and it will seamlessly transition into Shadowrun. THAT would be a turn-up for the books.

That dairy milk thing was actually a 1913 Picatinny rail. It sorta makes sense because you can attach things to it like night vision goggles but since the helmet is enclosed I fail to see any point to it.

The thing that always gets me about the helmets especially is knowing what it's like to walk around with a helmet all the time. If you're in tight spaces, you end up banging the helmet around on every protrusion above chest level. While this doesn't hurt really, it is both annoying and distracting, and that's with a helmet that doesn't have needless protrusions jutting out at every angle.

The other thing that gets me is the total lack of tactical coloring. One of the things you want least if you're trying to be stealthy is to reflect a lot of light. Garish colors on polished plastic/metal surfaces are going to make sneaking anywhere fucking impossible.

Odd thing about that is that the helmet also has the most convoluted system I've ever seen for mounting NVGs on the forward part of the helmet. How many things does one need/want mounted on areas of their head they can't see? A top mount of NVGs with a siderail of thermal? Maybe a bulky computer on the other side to give you a complex HUD to confuse the ever living shit out of your visual cortex too? Maybe if he's lucky, he'll get in a few games of tetris before he clumsily bangs his now 30lb helmet around on his way out of the dropship. I presume the webbing at the neck is to keep the poor bastard's spine from snapping off when his neck muscles give out in fifteen minutes.
