Ok so my girlfriend recently broke up with me, we had been going out for 6 months and things seemed to be going well. Then about 3 days ago she randomly said "I'm breaking up with you." To my surprise though I wasn't sad about it, I was surprised but not sad. I was convinced I was in love with her and yet I don't feel bad at all. In fact I actually feel happy. So my question is this, do you guys think this is strange for this situation and have any of you ever gone through this kind of feeling during a break up before?

Yup most of the time it's because I've been expecting it for a while and the split comes as more of a relief than a blow. In your case, I don't know you personally but I would assume it was lust not love, (I'm not being a dick but it can be really REALLY easy to confuse the two if your relationship is under a year old).

Sounds like you were infatuated, or "in like" with her. I've had that, convincing myself I was in love, though I broke that one off instead of the other way around.

One of them though, she broke up with me, and I was happy immediately after, then the next day became immensely depressed, which lasted for quite a long time - perhaps to this very day, though now very mildly.

Or maybe you're a psychopath, though that would involve you being manipulative and incapable of empathy. Yeah, never mind, I'm sure you're fine. A psychopath probably wouldn't care one way or the other.
