Just a Quick Survey

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine wants to know the percentage of our demographic that's homosexual. This question has probably been posed previously, but I couldn't find it on the first couple of pages from the search bar, plus I'd rather get more up to date statistics on this. So let's do a quick sample survey!

Nobody has to answer if you don't want to, I'm just curious.

I think you can probably add a poll retroactively. It would certainly make it easier for you

I'm a straight male. I don't anticipate ever travelling any length down the spectrum, so to speak.

It varies from around 1% to 5% depending on the study, generally I think it's considered around 3%.

Keep in mind that this is only those who identify as gay, not those who have sex with the same sex but refuse to call themselves gay, or those who might have same sex attraction but are in denial. It's impossible to ever have a completely accurate figure on exactly how many people there are attracted to the same sex.

Edit: Also, I'm gay.
