1. Mainly have been getting back into Jak 2 just to get the last precursor orb trochievement... I haven't started my Hero Mode playthrough just to unlock the final digital art book collection yet and have been practicing the races, in particular, on my regular completed save... I'm going to dread picking up the orbs during those races if I decide to not do the precursor orb glitch, though...

2. That torchievement belongs to Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on Critical Mode so far... Lingering Will was a pain in the ass, the Mushroom XIII were more hit-or-miss than expected, and the data battles ranged from "Well, that was fun..." to "That's it?" to "************!"... Overall, an array of mixed emotions ending in total satisfaction once that platinum trochievement popped up on my screen...

1) The last game I played was The Sims 4. I know, I am a 'casual'. It is fine, I mean, it is not like it is bad but it definitely not as good as the previous games which is not even surprising since there are many red flags popping out during the development (The whole rumour about it was intended to be a mobile game, taking out almost everything that was brilliant from the last games AND The SimCity 2013 syndrome).

2)Ninja Gaiden Sigma hammered me to my death. The game is basically mocking me at this point.

3)Bloodborne is my most anticipated game this year. It got everything I wanted from the gameplay perspective to the atmospheric setting, especially when it is gothic, steampunk Victorian era which is one of my favourite settings in fiction. I am not too excited for but I am interested in : Persona 5, Disigea 5, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, Final Fantasy type 0/ 15 and the Darkest Dungeon.

1) Tonight, Phantasy Star Online 2, though I wouldn't say it really counts as playing it since I just didn't feel like doing anything (MMO problems). So I'll instead go with what I was playing just beforehand, King of Fighters 2002 UM. Newly released Steam port that runs like a dream. I'm not even sure how to even be decent at the game, but it's fun enough, I suppose, as a general fighting game enthusiast.

2) I actually find it kinda hard to answer this question, but I guess I'll just go with Guilty Gear Xrd's challenge mode. It's basically just where the game has preset challenge combos for you to achieve, and I've been getting better and better, able to finish later challenges that seemed almost impossible just a week ago (generally all the later ones in the 30s in the video below). It's actually a pretty nice mode for Xrd, since compared to a lot of other previous fighting games' challenge or trial modes, a lot of the combos in Xrd's are either decently practical, or you can figure out something that is practical from the foundation that a challenge mode combo might give you.

3) Bloodborne. The only game I care about coming soon is Bloodborne. The next is the expansion for FFXIV, but that's still months away.

1. Crusader Kings II. Yes, Fun. Very addictive. Until your wife murders your children so your half-children take the throne, but they aren't the same culture leading to a peasant revolution.
2. See above. It's an excellent game for difficulty + overcoming difficulty before heading right back into difficulty.
3. I am currently device-less. I am looking forward to playing anything.

1. Tales of Maj'Eyal. It's allright, for the indie.

2. King's bounty: warriors of the north. Fighting against bugs, that is!

3. Shadowrun: Hong Kong. *rubs hands* If liked Dragonfall, you will know how I feel.

1. I've been playing Resident Evil Revelations 2, and I'm finding it surprisingly okay. It's comparable to Tomb Raider '13 in that it's not that great, but it certainly chugs along well enough.

2. The last thing I had a difficult time with was the final section in Claire's scenario in episode 2. I'm finding Claire's sections in general to be way more challenging than Barry's. To a point where it feels like I'm just not playing the game right or missing some vital strategy. It also doesn't help that something about the aiming just feels a bit unnatural to me. But just like at the end in episode 1 I am just getting my shit pushed mercilessly as Claire.

3. I'm quite looking forward to Bloodborne, and it's only 18 days away. Finally I can get some action out of my PS4 again -- I've been chewing through the God Of War games and Resident Evil 4 for the past few weeks to make it past this fucking dry spell.
So far, how would you compare it to the first Revelations? If it's like that, even if not as good, it will be one I'll pick up once all the episodes come out, because I start a game and finish it, especially for titles that might be 20 hours top.

1. Going between Bravely Default and Link Between Worlds. Bravely Default is quite good so far, with Edea being my favorite character so far (only into chapter one, having done the Thief side quest). The 3D for the game actually looks great compared to other games, so I have it on 3D quite a bit. Story is intriguing, and the design is quite nice. Being able to change the encounter rate is quite nice (I keep it on the highest setting most of the time, turning encounters off if I am trying to find a particular secret.

Link Between Worlds is alright so far. Has some interesting ideas, but the dungeons feel way to simple and fast. I felt that the DS titles did a better job in that department, and added some variety in gameplay. The idea of becoming a painting to move around hasn't really added anything for the most part. It feels that they used it to simplify puzzles, or instead of having puzzles to get to places, you just need to stick onto a wall to get to the other side. I only just rescued the first sage, so my opinion might change.

2. Most recent challenge for me in games was avoiding the FOES in Persona Q. Not super challenging, but you do have to be careful because it becomes major puzzles later on, and escaping can become really tough at times. The Reaper was a pain, because you had to make the correct movements to get past him, some areas you could slip-up and he would corner you, causing you to have to restart at the entrance of the floor (God help you if you don't have a Go-hom).

3. Persona 5 is a big one. I'm quelling my hype, but I'm excited at the prospect of some different ideas being implemented in the game (mainly a more stealthy approach, and dungeon design being very good). I also have a vague hope that with you being a thief, Naoto will make an appearance as a full fledged detective. Really want Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the Second Chapter now. The cliffhanger from the first is killing me, and I really want to get back into that world with all the characters I love. Also waiting to hear more about the new Ys game for PS4 and PSVita. Also the WiiU Zelda game.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D. It's my favourite Zelda game. There are a few changes made in the 3DS version, some good some not so good but it's still the game I know and love. Up to the third dungeon now.

2. The stupid beaver race in Majora's Mask (no, the race of beavers aren't stupid, don't be racist. I'm racing against beavers). Swimming/flying through rings is never fun, and it's made even worse when the rings are actual physical objects. Link kept bouncing off them or stopping and standing in/on top of them. It's the first time that I've felt like the game has been screwing me over. Because it was so annoying it felt like I had spent ages on it when in reality it was probably only about fifteen minutes. They do give you heaps of time to finish and I only had to retry three times over the course of the four races required to get the bottle and heart piece.

A recent difficulty that I didn't overcome was that fucking Death fight in Castlevania. Every few months I feel like playing Castlevania and I really enjoy myself up until that point. This game would be almost perfect if they balanced out the difficulty a bit. As it stands as soon as I reach that boss fight I'm just like "fuck this game and fuck the developers for making it". I've never finished Catlevania.

3. There are a few Vita games I'm excited about (well, only one is Vital exclusive but I'll be getting them all on Vita).

Titan Souls [http://www.devolverdigital.com/games/view/titan-souls]. Kind of like 2D Zelda meets Shadow of the Colossus. Looks really cool.

Salt and Sanctuary [http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/08/28/salt-and-sanctuary-coming-exclusively-to-ps4-vita-next-year]. Essentially being described as 2D Dark Souls. As someone who loves Dark Souls and 2D platormers this is right up my alley.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls [http://gematsu.com/2015/02/danganronpa-another-episode-coming-west-fall]. A spinoff of the Danganronpa games. It's a 3rd person action game taking place between the two main games (as far as I know). I don't know how good it'll be in terms of gameplay but I love the Danganronpa universe so I'm looking forward to it.

1. Wonderful 101. Finally finding some time to plow through it and i'm really digging just how different the game is. It's not often you get a mix between Pikmin and a toned down DMC game. One thing i'm finally enjoying is the fact that the game finally clicked with me. On top of the fact that the world, characters, and dialogue are a ton of fun, the gameplay is incredibly unique, but was haaaaard to get a hang of because it's so different from your run of the mill character action game. When mastered, it essentially becomes this organized mess of hype by the time you get combos and action commands down via muscle memory. Overall I'm having so much fun and can't wait how much more the tension rises as the story progresses.

2. Again Wonderful 101's uniqueness to controls and difficulty curve. NORMAL MODE IS A LIE. It's God Hand all over again.

3. Bloodborne mostly. It's right around the corner, so what's not to be excited for with what's been shown. As for others, MGSV, now including a set release date and ROCKET PEACE (yes... I am far more excited for a big dumb robot fist than I am for the actual game, which is perfectly justified because it's ROCKET. PEACE!). Aaaand for possible game changing RPG duo of Xenoblade X and Persona 5 coming eventually.

1.What was the last game you played? How are you finding it?

Technically, it was a few rounds of Left 4 Dead 2 Realism Versus. However, the primary thing I've been playing lately is another Hard run-through of Half-Life 2.

How am I finding it? The same as the other times I've played, save for one minor detail.

See #2

2.What is the last thing in a game you had difficulty with and overcame?

That one minor detail is: I'm trying to see how far into the game I can take D0g's pet roller-mine.

See, some years ago while messing around on a play-through of the game, I had decided to keep D0g's roller-mine with me as I went into Ravenholm. It turned out to be a fun challenge trying to keep the thing alive as I made my way through the town. Well, that, and it was fun to chuck the thing into rooms full of headcrabs and watch it run them down one at at time.

Zombies and headcrabs would incessantly attack it. Father Grigori would repeatedly snipe at it whenever it entered his line of sight - ignoring it only when I was holding it with the grav-gun. Any small bit of fire or water that touched it would cause it to explode instantly. It became quite the fun little challenge. It was almost like a plucky sidekick. However, by the time I got to the section of the town wherein Grigori would send the cart to bring me over to the church, I could not get the mine past the fences. There was some invisible wall preventing it from moving past.

But, on this recent run, I accidentally sent the thing careening off at an odd angle from the roof. As it flew, it passed through a spot that allowed the mine to land in the church courtyard. Barely across the fence, I just managed to save the thing before Grigori blasted it into oblivion.

Now the challenge has taken on a whole 'nother level. It's become a test of tenacity and cleverness in finding ways to keep the thing from dying. I've had to find ways of carrying it through tunnels of water, past walls of fire, over other 'invisible' walls, through the gauntlets of Combine snipers (yes, they shoot at it) and Antlions, you name it. It's made the game surprisingly fun in a new way after all these years.

3.What games are you looking forward to?

At the moment, I'm really excited for several.

First would be Firewatch. It's the first title from Campo Santo, a team with a fair degree of pedigree in great adventure game design - with credits in some of TellTale's finest games. It's hard to summarize the game without it sounding...oddly mundane, but this video might speak for itself:

Besides that, I'm really anxious to see what's become of Routine. The game is being developed by a team of three on what is likely the quintessential shoe-string budget. However, it looks to be doing what most triple-A horror games have been failing to do for years - especially in the realm of proper audio usage to create real tension.

Then there's Blackbird Entertainment's new game Homeworld: Shipbreakers. Because, really, any excuse to revisit the Homeworld storyverse is fine by me. Especially when it's done by the original Homeworld team.

Finally, I'm waiting for a price drop on Grey Goo. It looks fairly fun, but I just...don't want to spend fifty bucks on it. I'm a cheapskate, I guess.

Honorable mentions to Ashes of the Singularity, Gigantic, and the Terraria 1.3 patch.

Oh, it is so nice to talk some games with people.

1. Last game I played was minecraft. I only just recently got into it and I'm enjoying it immensely.

2. Honestly, stopping has been the big issue when it comes to minecraft. I always just want to do one more little thing. As far as actual game difficulty goes, I'm not really sure. I play for fun and story more than challenge. Oh, I know: Smash Brothers. My friends are no match for my mad skillz.

3. I tend to play games once the goty editions with all the dlc come out, so while I'm looking forward to playing Arkham Knight I know I won't get it for a while (it's still my response, though). Secretly, I'm excited for Kingdom Hearts 3, but I'm so bitter it didn't come out on the ps2 nearly ten years ago it kind of waters my enthusiasm.

1.What was the last game you played? How are you finding it?

World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm alongside Wasteland 2.

Wow's alright, it's pretty much the same game it's ever been. I stopped playing for a few years and have been slowly leveling up new characters and exploring all the now old content I'd missed. It's fun, an entertaining way to pass a bit of time every now and then. I'm also really impressed with the new expansions content, the new zones have been absolutely gorgeous and Blizzard have really stepped up their game in terms of mission variety and story presentation. I'm loving the cutscenes that now fill the game and bookend most of the new zones as you transition to the next zone.

Same pretty much goes for Heroes of the Storm. I got an invite into the beta and have been dabbling with it ever since and it's pretty fun. I'm not a huge fan of the genre but Hots quicker pace and sleek design are appealing to me and it's fun to try out all the various Blizzard characters and see how they play with or against one another. Don't think this game will ever be nearly as big as LoL or Dota2, but I expect it will find a nice niche as the quick fun member of the genre for people that want to play those sorts of games without dedicating all their free time to it.

And then there's Wasteland 2, which is a great classic style rpg that I've really been having a blast with when I get the chance to play it. Sadly these last few weeks have been super busy for me so I haven't been able to dedicate too much time to it, that's why I've been playing Blizz's more casual titles, but it's definitely a game I'm looking forward to finishing when I get the chance. Although not perfect it really does do a great job of capturing a lot of what I loved about the original Fallout series in a way no other newer title, not even the new Fallout titles, have managed to accomplish.

2.What is the last thing in a game you had difficulty with and overcame?

Learning how to be half-decent at moba-style games probably counts here. I'm not very good at them and my attempts at getting into games like dota2 have always been thwarted by the sheer difficulty of the games and their *ahem* enthusiastic fanbase. Luckily Hots is a lot more friendly than those sorts of games and the community hasn't become nearly so toxic quite yet. I've even begun enjoying it some and even had a few great matches!

3.What games are you looking forward to?

Pillars of Eternity is coming out soon and I'm pretty excited for that. Even if the gameplay proves to be a bit rough, as I suspect it might be from what I've seen in previews and the like, I really like the setting and story Obsidian have put together and I'm intrigued to see what sort of story they're going to tell with such an intriguing setup.

Also the next chapter of Dreamfall: Chapters is due soon and I wants me more of that. Enjoyed the first bit and more Dreamfall is never a bad thing.

High five for being a fan of Rayman Legends.

1. The most recent game I've played is Front Mission Evolved and I'm liking it well enough so far. Granted the controls are still a bit clunky for me, but that's mostly due to me not playing a lot of mech games, especially not some of the faster paced ones.

2. Again Front Mission Evolved. The last mission I did was a bit of a pain in the ass as one of the enemy mech was a ***** with a shoulder-mounted chain gun that would rip my health to shreds within seconds. Had to do a lot of popping in and out of cover to win that fight. I've also been having trouble with World of Tanks lately, but that's mostly due to the matchmaking system and the people I get teamed with.

3. Uh, not much of anything to be honest. I've spent most of the last month or so knocking out games on my "to play" list and most of the ones that are left are for the PS3 which I can't currently use due to my brother having it at college with him. The only games left for the 360 I've not even touched yet are Red Dead Redemption(and that's been sitting in my closet for well over a year so I'm in no real hurry to play it at the moment) and Left 4 Dead 2.(which should ideally be played with friends, but I don't know if any of my friends even have it) Granted there are several games I've been meaning to go back and play the DLC for(New Vegas and Bioshock Infinite being prime candidates), but I'm not quite ready to do that yet.

1: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. I've only just finished the first mission, so I can't say for certain, but goddamn does it feel dated. I got it because I wanted a nostalgia twang as I played Frontlines and Rising Sun on PS2 many years ago, but the gameplay has aged terribly. I'd say it has aged worse than the 90's shooters have (they still hold up pretty well).

2: The game I was playing before this was Painkiller. I finished the main game on Nightmare difficulty and attempted the expansion likewise. Well, I could not get past the second level. The roller coaster section just fucked me up over and over and over again. I overcame this problem by being a massive pussy and starting again on Insomnia difficulty, and then managed to finish the game.

3: Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord and Kingdom Come: Deliverance are the big ones. Witcher 3 is the only game I've ever pre-ordered in my life, I'm that keen for it (the hefty discount helped. Got it for $53.00 AUS). Mount & Blade: Warband has over 1100 hours clocked in on Steam, and that isn't counting any of the offline single player I've played, or that of the original game. Needless to say, I'm excited for the new one. It's the only game that I've become immersed in an online community with. As for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, well I'm interested to see a game finally attempt realistic sword play, and in an authentic medieval setting. The developers seem cool as well, which always helps.

Other games I'm interested in is Pillars of Eternity and the new Planescape.

1. Shadow of Mordor: The Bright Lord DLC. I started playing it last weekend but only really got time for it now. So far I'm not really enjoying it... it takes away a lot of the mechanics from the base game with Thalion and I keep failing at some of the story missions. "Get 50 Orcs to kill each other within 4 minutes" -- I must have attempted that one six times now only to fail.
I'm close to giving up on the game :/

Oh, and Rayman: Legends. I'm playing that on my Vita to and from work since the levels are so beautifully short, yet very difficult to master.

2. This War of Mine: I finally managed to complete a game in it where I didn't kill any innocents and didn't lose a single person to health or mental issues. That game is incredibly brutal since the "mean" way is so much easier, but it leaves you feeling rotten.

3. Cities: Skylines. I have always been a fan of the city builder, but to date I am still playing Sim City 4 (+ Rush Hour + mods) since nothing released since comes close except for Banished, which is more of a small town simulator (it's closer to The Settlers than to Sim City). C:S seems to finally be the game I've been waiting for.

1.What was the last game you played? How are you finding it?

I'm still currently playing Pokemon Omega Ruby for the Nintendo 3DS and loving every second of it. I thought that it would be very difficult to go from X to OR, especially since I haven't completed X, but I'm progressing rather well in OR and it won't be long before I complete both games.

2.What is the last thing in a game you had difficulty with and overcame?

How to get 2 Mewtwos and a Latias in Omega Ruby so that I can have a Mega Mewtwo X, Y, and Mega Latias. I thought it would be impossible, as people often ask for ridiculously rare pokemon for such trades, until I realized that I had a few Mewtwos and a Latias just sitting around in my HeartGold and SoulSilver PCs. Rather than letting them rot in my Gen 4 storage systems, I decided to transfer them to Omega Ruby, and they're awesome.

3.What games are you looking forward to?
I've downloaded quite a few recently, thanks to the Nintendo Club (Super Mario Land 2, Flip Book 3D, Metroid 2, Sakura Samurai, and Pokemon Shuffle), so I'll be busy with those for a while. Then, I'd like to try out some future installments on the PS4, such as Uncharted 4 and Batman: Arkham Knight.

1.What was the last game you played? How are you finding it?

Last game I played was The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and I'm having quite a bit of fun! I have a couple minor mods to help mix things up a little and I'm using console commands to help me roleplay better.

2.What is the last thing in a game you had difficulty with and overcame?

Hmmmm, that is a toughie.
I think it would have to be completing a terror mission in Xcom: Enemy Within with an all rookie squad using conventional weapons and armor.
I ended up losing about half the civilians I was supposed to save and my team only had two surviving members, but I did it!
Had to do a lot of save scumming though.

3.What games are you looking forward to?

The only game I am really looking forward to is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I love me some Metal Gear and this game is looking to be fantastic!
Nothing else has really grabbed my attention unfortunately.

1.What was the last game you played? How are you finding it?
I've been playing both Pokemon Sapphire and Fire Emblem Awakening. I don't find Sapphire to be as interesting as X and Y were, but playing pokemon games has just become a habit now. I doubt I will ever stop.

Fire Emblem is great. This is the first one I've played properly, I think I had a quick go on another older one for the DS.

2.What is the last thing in a game you had difficulty with and overcame?
Well...I guess it was Fire Emblem again. I was playing on hard with permadeath. To be honest, I don't know why I turned permadeath on, because there is no way I'd ever let one of my favourite characters die. This has led to many level restarts and at this stage, virtually every level is taking ages to overcome. Well, actually, I started again and removed permadeath...does that count as overcoming the difficulty?

3.What games are you looking forward to?
Really looking forward to MGS5. I played Ground Zeroes when it was on sale on PS3 and it really exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I only paid £4 for it (£20 would have been crazy), but it has got me really excited for Phantom Pain. Just hope it is good on PC.

Also looking forward to Witcher 3, Persona 5 and waiting to hear more about a new Fallout!

1. I've been really busy in the past year, have moved around a lot and am currently sharing a tv with four other people so I've been playing Mass Effect 2 for about seven months now. I am finding it interminable but enjoyable when I do play it.

2 I am trying to overcome the difficulty of finishing the game.

3. I am looking forward to finishing it and starting something new. I can't move on!

*sobs uncontrollably*

Edit: I finally got to bone Garrus.

Things are looking up.

Edit 2: Never mind, I just finished it.

Thanks for reminding me, Phas. :D

1)Just Cause 2: got it during the recent Humble Bundle sale. It's still pretty fun, but I'm trying to go for 100% completion somehow instead to make me stick with the game.

Wish me luck >_<

2)Just Cause 2 randomly crashing on me. Aside from that, the other most recent gaming problem was getting to try and play co-op with some friends in Dark Souls. That was a doozy.

3)Hotline Miami 2 and Witcher 3. East Europe represent! \^_^/

But for real, I loved both Hotline Miami and The Witcher 2. Even though I do get a bit over-hyped for The Witcher 3, at the bare minimum, it looks like just more of The Witcher 2, which will be more than enough for me. As for HM 2, even if I don't like the game, the soundtrack will be fantastic and it will scratch that particular Super Meat Boy itch of challenging but fast-paced gameplay.

1. Hyperdimension Neptunia: Rebirth 1 is what Im currently playing. Despite the series bad reputation I personally find it enjoyable, granted it can be rather grindy in the sense that the plan system makes it so to unlock armour or weapons you have to farm X amount of enemy then beat optional midboss X. Past that though I love the game as it has nice parodies of various aspects of the game industry and this is pure personal preference on my part, but its a refreshing breath of air to play a game that does not take its self seriously and just has fun. Last point on this one is yeah it does have fan-service and the CPU designs might raise eyebrows... but personally it seems like its all in good fun, the fan-service does nothing for me as I prefer the parodies and personalities that lampshade aspects of the companies they represent (granted Vert= Xbox will be lost on a lot of people as her tendencies parody the Japanese side of the Xbox 360 gaming scene.)

2. Going up against the Ant Queen quest boss in Etrian Odyssey III: the drowned city was a satisfying challenge to overcome. Admittedly this is not a hard boss and was more me tackling the boss too early as the recommend level is like mid 40's as far as I remember, anyways I take the boss on as soon as its available with my party being around level 34 or so and get the queen to around 50% HP and then get overwhelmed with her constant followers. After the defeat I decided lets do this one more time! stocked up on a few nectars and amritas then challenged her once more, after an epic 40 turn struggle I manage to squeak out a win... personally these are the most satisfying wins. I beat her with tactics more than anything as my party was Gladiator/Arbalist Hoplite/Ninja Zodiac/Gladiator and Ninja/Zodiac Princess/Wilding on the back row, in a nutshell my Gladiator and Zodiac would cycle Berserker Vow> Charge> Blade rave/Meteor whilst my Hoplite would use bunshin to make a clone in the backrow allowing both hoplites to bodyguard the attackers, the Ninja was on full support using otori to draw attacks to the hoplite clone and then using dark ether on attack turns to conserve TP, lastly my Princess would cycle Protect order> Primal drums> Attack order.

3. So so so can't wait for Ultra Despair Girls: Danganronpa another episode, the series has me hooked and being able to see the events between the first two games has me hyped! Apologies if my post is a wee bit too detailed as I tend to be rather long winded at times when it comes to things I like.
