If you want real anime recommendations, I'm probably the right person to ask on this forum, just drop that ridiculous dub bias.

For the record, Madoka Magica is an anime you can't just recommend to anyone, especially hotblooded people.

I'd suggest Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, and possibly Gintama to the OP. Very basic, entry-level fistfight anime with competent dubbing. Very little to think about as well in terms of themes, and can be enjoyed by all ages, especially children.

Can you make up your mind. Also you didn't ask why I don't watch Sub, instead of being elitist over foreign animations...
I have no reason to ask you why you such a question when I know the answer. Americans are easily enraged at listening to language or unfamiliar to them. I don't have issues with dubs myself, but would not take them over subs unless the people I like are involved.

But yeah those are my recommendations to you. I suggest you stay away from Madoka because it has a poor dub, requires a lot of thought to really take in the themes, and has an all female cast; being a Magical Girl anime after all. That basically means misogynists or brutish ogres will likely not enjoy the feminine exterior of the anime, nor the struggles that ensue.

Well I'm from New Zealand, not America. And because I watch Dub over Sub, I'm stupid? Then you think I'm not okay with an all female cast, when my favourite anime is Claymore? You assume alot. None of your statements actually made any sense. Can you possibly try again? Cause, I just love arguing with strangers on the internet over opinions.

Never insinuated you were stupid; it's just the typical reason why someone would prefer a dub, which I don't have issues with at all. And sorry, I thought you were American or Italian. Just took a guess.

OK, lets clear the air. I like to watch dub so I can focus on the animation, the animation is a huge part to anime for me; thats why I love alot of action in anime. I can't multi-task reading and watching the action; I'm a moderate paced reader at best. This is why I can't stand watching Sub. And if I could speak MoonSpeak then I would watch it original.

Fate/Zero has an excellent English dub and is a fantastic 24 episode series. You want good action and characters? This show has it in spades, I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's technically a prequel to the Fate/Stay Night Visual novel but you don't have to have read that to enjoy it (I watched Zero first).

A new Stay Night anime is currently airing too which will most likely get the dub treatment eventually, so there's that to look forward to as well.

But....but what if the dub is bad??? I'm allergic to awful dubs. For every fantastic dub I've heard there were plenty of bad ones that nearly made my ears bleed. It's such a shame when voice acters are just to damn lazy to do their jobs right, or they cast the wrong person for a character. It can be quite a blow for an otherwise great show.

Yes, in that case just screw the anime altogether. Unless the action is well-done and overall spectacle, making me ignore the horrible dub. I've been pretty lucky, as an anime dub only guy and I generally have very high standards of anime.

I guess it's not hurt to suggest Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Heard there was no dub though, but I think it's one of the only anime that works best with the sub and the Japanese language.

I prefer dub over sub myself, as I don't find anime the end all be all. I like to listen to it while I do other things, looking up now and then to keep up with the story. A few, like Puella Magi Magical Madoka, Paprika, or Tokyo Godfathers, are visually stunning or so compelling that I suggest watching every bit of them, but DBZ? I figure I know what happened, but I think I only looked up a few times an episode. Bad guy looks like that. That's silly. They're fighting. Krillin's dead. Got it.

Have you per chance heard of Polar Bear Cafe? It is a wild roller-coaster of a ride of emotions, intrigue and a heavy, challenging and morally complex study on the human condition:

Short anime series (I believe all three are 12 episodes long) that I highly recommend. You won't have the issue of thinking that these shows feeling slow paced.

FLCL (Fooly Cooly)
Makoda Magika
Paranoia Agent

I believe that Funimation has these shows streaming on their YouTube page for free.

Everyone should watch Toaru Majutsu No Index and Toaru Kagaku No Railgun. The first season of Index sucks, but if you're like me and enjoyed it anyway for the interesting world it sets up then the rest of the series is really damn good. Railgun S even remakes and expands on one of the better parts of Index 1(evn if it misses out Redemption of Accelerator).

On a more obscure note though: Noein.

Stumbled upon it by accident and god damn is this my thing.

If you're into Hyper Level Alternative Universe Sci-Fi, gorgeous visual styles, badass fight scenes and being confused, then this is your thing. It's one of those anime's that makes more sense the more you watch it.

Did you actually like the ending to Claymore? It's one of those weird instances where it ending earlier (and more abruptly) than the manga didn't make it automatically worst. Not sure if I prefer the half-assed ending of the anime more than how the manga meandered horribly after the last arc covered in the anime. Maybe it gets better again later, but things got really shonen-y and boring after the Lionman fight.

It's a pretty good anime/manga for the first few arcs though and I liked the art a lot.

Probably should pay attention to Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Not only are they really good as far as the genre goes, but they has pretty decent dubs, for a change.

Also, check Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin). I have no idea how good the dub is (I only saw it in Latinamerican Spanish), but it should be right on your alley with the other series listed there. Just stop right after the Shishio Saga.

Not much on the reading of OPs, I see.

Anyway, a couple of suggestions from me.

Darker than Black - Dark themes, plenty of action.

Knights of Sidonia - Attack on Titan meets Battlestar Galactica plus mecha. Dub is a Netflix exclusive.

Kill la Kill - Well it's definitely not boring or slow paced. Plus dat Sawano.

Madoka Magica - Magical Girl Vietnam. The dub is kind of annoying though.

Mirai Nikki - Yuno is many things, but she is certainly not boring.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - If you liked Trigun, you'll probably like this.

The ending of Claymore, is basically a 'read the bloody manga ending'. I have not read the manga, even though Claymore is my favourite anime. It did end half-assed and the manga is still going on today. Yes, the ending is paramount, but it almost had everything I valued in anime.

Ping Pong Club

I would explain my recommendation, but..... I honestly don't know how to explain this show. Oh, and stick with the English dub. It is very good and very necessary unless you are one of those people who have a very deep understanding of Japanese humor (i.e. no one outside of Japan).

Where else can you find a character who's winning ping pong strategy is to let his wang slip out of his shorts in order to distract his opponent.
