Alright, I'm rather split here. On one hand, it's Just Cause 3. On the other, Square Enix who seem to have a propensity [http://www.gamespot.com/final-fantasy-xiv-online] these [http://www.gamespot.com/thief] days [http://www.gamespot.com/hitman-absolution] for ruining games.

But OK. I'm willing to have a little faith here. Here's my wishlist for the next game.

1. Make shop items CHEAPER FFS. Or give us more moneyz. I should NOT have to spend a fourth of my cash early on just to buy a stupid ASSAULT RIFLE or worse yet, just ammo for it.

2. Make explosives available very early on.

3. Air strikes.

4. Semi-destructible buildings.

TL;DR Make JC3 more like Mercenaries and you have all of my money.

I approve of this simply because its a welcome change from reading 'X wont have a single player campaign' which has been a lot more common of late.

even when i didn not enjoy the games, focusing on the SP is a good move. not every damn game needs MP. never the less, i will skip out on this one since i did not enjoy the first 2 games. yes, crazy, i know. as much as i like crazy action games, these 2 just didnt do it for me.

I just hope they don't go the CoD-route of removing the player as much as possible from the actual action. None of that drone air-strike crap or QTEs and we'll be good.

I'm very surprised though, considering multiplayer just seems so right for Just Cause. There are so many games where multiplayer is just shoehorned in, but with Just Cause 2 it always felt as if the single player had been shoehorned in. It just seems made for multiplayer. Oh well. It's up to them whether or not they implement the one single thing that people seem to want most in the sequel.

But yeah, nothing wrong with what they are doing since multiplayer never in Just Cause was a thing in their work process.

You need to understand that Just Cause 2 multiplayer was a mod and that this one like all the rest was made around the singleplayer, what they are saying here is that since the multiplayer mod was good and showed how much fun it can be they can try to add one of their own latter on.

I sent a tip about this week's ago.

I plan to buy this day 1 as JC2 was so much fun
Nothing says fun quite like grabbing a minigun from a base and gimping along, doing as much property damage as humanly possible.
And getting rewarded for said property damage.

Yeah I'm also not seeing why Silent Pony is angry about this, neither of the original games shipped with Multi-Player, it's not a core feature of the series... fun destruction sandbox chaos is... so erm... yeah, I don't see the issue with them possibly adding Multi-Player post launch and even if they don't, well I'm sure there'll be modders again to do it.

So Silent Pony, why are you angry about this?

As much fun as the mod was, I'm not in the boat of giving a rats ass about the next entry having it or not. I just love causing single-player chaos and I'm happy Avalanche decided to concentrate on that. Boom boom + open world + who-gives-a-shit-about-story = Just Cause. I mean I think I finished 2 once, and after that didn't care to play the main game ever again. Just hijack a jet and strafe the shit out of whatever's handy.
Getting mad because a series thats never had official multiplayer decides not to pursue it at the outset? Wrong side of the fence bro.

I think if they are working on a limited budget for a silly game (I get this impression from the overall feel of JC2), multiplayer is probably something that they don't really have the funding to gamble on, plus they would have to pay for hosting. They could, however, leave a few doors cracked open for modders...

Good, JC is all about the single player for me. The amount of chaos one man can do keeps bringing me back to JC2. Bring on the sequel!

Good! I've been waiting for the day AAA companies decided to DLC common features.
Next they'll DLC the Options Menu, DLC the End Credits, DLC controller support, and if you want voices/music in your game, you can buy the day one DLC for only $5.99! What a deal!
One day in the not too distant future we'll be buying a $60 disk but the game itself will be an additional $60 DLC!
to be fair, multiplayer was NEVER a common feature of Just Cause games. First one did not have a multiplayer AT ALL and second one got it as a free mod made by developers years after its release.

Not every game has to have a multi-player mode. Not every game has a have a single-player mode. I'd rather see games that picked one or the other and make it excellent than pull a "Well, we gave you both, but neither of them are very good".
Basically this. i always play only singleplayer in games that focus on singleplayer and when i want multiplayer i go for games that are designed for multiplayer from ground up and often dont have singleplayer at all.
