Aside from Cat women, I also see a green lantern there...and Martian Manhunter in the background....

I'm totally hoping for a new french canadian hero now. GO TEAM! Of course, he'll/she'll probably be mistaken for some party pooper who never wants to participate in anything when he's/she's actually been wronged on so many occasions in his/her life.

FYI, I'm not just making a reference to Quebec. So many people think French canadian= Only Quebec.

Do Canadian superheros stun their foes into submission with their near lack of manners? "You didn't apologize 5 times when you walked in front of me on my way to the bank vault? I... I just don't know how to react..."

I think they came here because they saw our Canadian Senate and assumed it was some sort of league of supervillains. Them or Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford.

When they get here we should have a party, have a few beers, maybe some poutine if they're up to it and explain why fans pay hundreds of dollars for tickets to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs lose

I wish they'd come to Halifax, it makes me so happy when Halifax is featured.

It's been so long since I've actually read anything DC, is it any good anymore? I tried to read the first volume of the new JL but it just sucked so bad (what with none of the super heroes remembering each other)

I know it's a complete reboot (except for Green Lanterns) but it's just so discouraging and depressing.

Canada doesn't have it's own... Hero... I know that doesn't make too much sense but this is a part of Canada's "identity problem"

The US has Superman/marvel/DC
Great Britain has James Bond (Say what you like, but James Bond is English, created by an English ex-militant writer and everyone knows it)
Japan has... Almost everything else... (Mario/any anime character ever/Cloud/etc)
China even has their own heroes, elevated from real-life Martial arts.
Canada doesn't have anything immediately recognizable in this regard. You could say Captain Canuk or something equally silly, but that's really an imitation of the US comic book heroes. Guess we just have to try harder...
You have Red Green! How much more could you possibly want?

If I have to.
I guess.

Apart from Wolverine, I can't really think of prominent Canadian superheroes. But with Toronto being the base, there better be a Rob Ford cameo.

This article gave me a craving for Tim Horton's. Oh, Canada.
Damn you, now I want some Tim Hurton's as well. Those chocolate muffins, those chocolate muffins...

OT: Nice change for the DC universe. Now let's see the how they handle the writing.

I think we get to call dibs on half of Superman, and if this wiki page is to be believed, Deadpool.

The weirdest thing I'm getting out of all of this is that they are using Toronto. DC often likes to use fictional cities that are analogues for real life places, but suddenly Toronto.

I'm Canadian and I found your post incredibly... Hilarious! I'm still laughing actually, as I type this out. Too funny man, and too true!
I would honestly love it if they had lines like this in the comic whenever the team is beating people up or stopping super villains or whatever. I might even pick up a copy.
