Red Dwarf, my favourite series of all time.
Its just a shame that few people i know actually have any knowledge of the series.

Oh well. On topic, I can justify myself in the fact that while i have not done much things that are noticable on a personal scale, I can say that i have altered the lives around me for the better. If they deny that, I can point out the very time things changed. Hell, when things go bad I have been blamed for the change. (but never praised)

OT, I dunno, I'm pretty self-critical. And lazy. So I guess I'd lose.

Firefly is a definative close second, despite the small amount of episodes. It's just that I have been watching Red Dwarf since I introduced to it in 2001 and I will still crack up to the jokes that are said even while quoting them word for word.
While Firefly I was only shown about 6 months back and loved (yea,I was a bit late to the party, but hey.)

I don't think any excuse I could give would be enough to justify my existence and I wouldn't expect it to be. There is no justification for the way I've lived my life up to this point(laziness, procrastination, overweight, etc). I'm making myself better, but I'm still not there yet. In a few years I might have something.

As for me (Yes, I get a turn too.), the main point is that it is justification to my own values. A long time ago, I decided that if I were ever cloned or reproduced in any way, I couldn't argue with myself on the grounds that it was an act of futility. I'd always be right, for one, so what would the point of it be? If someone else is playing 'me', then he has to agree that my life is worth living, simply because I believe it so.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2, Craig Charles confirmed that two new series were being produced, and that filming begins in November 2011. Chris Barrie revealed that the new series will be counted as series 10. However, a post on the official Red Dwarf website on 11 June 2010 stated that nothing has been confirmed yet. On 21 January 2011 it was confirmed that a new series will be filmed in late 2011 to be broadcast in 2012 on the digital channel Dave. However, UKTV, owners of Dave, have so far refused to comment, suggesting that it has not been officially greenlit.[61] While attending Dimension Jump XVI, Red Dwarf's co-creator, writer, director and executive producer Doug Naylor confirmed to fans that a new series of Red Dwarf would be aired on Dave in late 2012, with filming taking place in late 2011 and early 2012.

NEW RED DWARF!

No please no, no more, let it die already, LET IT DIE.
I can't stand to see its artificially ventilated, bacta-fuelled undead corpse being paraded through the TV screen streets any longer. There's been ... what ... four attempts now? To get it back on its feet since the ambiguous, but epic end of series 6.

7 was pretty sucky
8 was ... ok ... but not superfantastico
And the specials ... oh god put them in a skip and light them on fire.

If whatever this new thing is goes ahead, it will be either:
a/ The most awesome thing ever.
b/ Distinctly meh.
c/ So horrendous that it causes a rift in space and swallows up the earth.

As, once again, the only channel that thinks it's worth a shot is Dave - the home of over eager repeats being spun out farrrrrrr too long and too often - it's probably safe to say the chances of it being a/ are pretty slim, and when you're in a situation that getting a "distinctly meh" result is the best you can hope for, why are you even trying?

Naylor. Get back with Grant. Patch up over a cheese & onion toastie whatever differences caused the two of you to walk. Otherwise, get yourself a new project you goddamn hack and stop shitting on the venerated grave of your shared brainchild.
