I grown up seen things far more sexual. Here (Brazil) the most popular kids program host has already come out in the fucking Playboy and make a porn movie and I grown up normal... almost...
Plus if you watch the sketch she was playing dressup, hence the tinkerbell dressMadara XIII said:I actually liked how Katy Perry was trying to reach out to the children. The only thing I could come up with that's slightly harmful, if I'm really trying, is subconsciously, but subconsciously what?
Yeah let's not sing that on a children's show.first four lines said:You change your mind

Yeah you PMS

Good thing she didn't sing that.mjc0961 said:I would complain more about her singing "Hot N Cold" on the show before I complained about the outfit. I don't know the entire song, but I remember hearing lines about PMS and other such stuff. That seems a bit worse than some cleavage and a little jiggling during that dance thing to me.
Of course I'd complain about her singing anything, anywhere, at any time, so maybe I'm just a wee biased.

I don't think I'd mind. It would probably be entertaining for the kids. Kids tend to think that naked people look funny and they usually point and laugh at them.Dexiro said:Katy Perry could be walking around that show with her boobs hanging out completely and it'd mean nothing to kids. Not that I'm saying women should be topless on kids shows, that'd just be weird x3
It's all just a taboo subject for adults. We're just animals, this negative reaction that some people have to nudity isn't a natural thing. Kids aren't going to be programmed to have this negative reaction that early on, maybe a slightly more relaxed attitude towards this stuff in kids shows would help lift the taboo a little bit.Housebroken Lunatic said:I don't think I'd mind. It would probably make the show entertaining for a few adults as well (though perhaps for different reasons, but the kids won't get that)
Think about it as being kind of like the same idea behind the childrens book "everybody poops" said to motivate children into potty training and not get wierded out by it. If everybody poops, then it's fair to say that everyone looks naked when they're... well, naked? And if they are taught that nakedness isn't wierd or unnatural, then perhaps we wouldn't have to suffer the humiliating sight of seeing adult people going apeshit by seeing some nudity?
Of course it would. It would most likely also result in less teenage pregnacies and the downright diseased and morbid fascination that teenagers and young adults have about sex.Dexiro said:It's all just a taboo subject for adults. It is irrelevant how she was dressed, kids wouldn't be corrupted by any type of clothing or even complete nudity for that matter. END of story...Kortney said:She wasn't dressed appropriately for that show. End of story.
Children are extremely curious about these things. They don't need a sex drive to act inappropriately.Housebroken Lunatic said:It is irrelevant how she was dressed, kids wouldn't be corrupted by any type of clothing or even complete nudity for that matter. Yeah I can actually see that happening. I mean once you get down to it sex is just hyped up as hell. Sure it's fun, but when you spend half your childhood waiting for it like it's some momentous event you're going to want to get in as soon as possible, and it becomes some sort of status symbol, like "I've had sex this many times, I'm the most popular".Housebroken Lunatic said:Of course it would.
