Okay, here's the game people.
You'll notice if you're in the practice of watching the news that certain stories develop and are added to as the week wears on. Journalists and news outlets will do this because the groundwork has been done on the story and it's an easy way to fill in some content. It's referred to as "keeping the pot boiling" and sometimes stories can go on for weeks before they are dropped.
So, I will begin by posting a small news item. The next person will add to it in the form of a new revelation, an interview with a key figure or a new angle. We will do this until the story gets stale, or we discover the meaning of life.
UFO OR PARTY BLIMP?
Residents from the sleepy town of Rushdale were yesterday were woken from their slumber from what locals say was an unidentified flying object.
They say that they were awoken at approximately 2:30AM by a low metallic sound. When concerned residents checked where the noise outside was coming from, they looked up and saw bright lights.
One man was was taken to St John's Hospital with extreme seizures after looking directly at source of the lights. St. John's medical team say that they have never seen anything quite as severe in their careers, and the severity of the case is unprecedented.
"We took him in at about 3AM yesterday" one doctor said, "He presented with seizures which have kind of been our specialty over the years, but we've never seen anything of this scale
"It was just frightening, I thought we were going to lose him but then he stabilized and started singing Rodger and Hammerstein tunes"
The man in question is in a coma after his dice with death, and hospital staff will continue to observe the patient as concerned residents look to the authorities for answers.
The Chief of Police, Mitch Stockdale is due to give a press conference later on today, but air traffic authorities were silent on the issue this morning and show no signs of wanting to speak to the media.
