Hi all!
Simply, I'm here to ask for some keyboard suggestions; maybe even a small "review" on what you use and how you like it for gaming.

I'll sort of tell you why I'm looking for a new one and what I've tried:

My first "gaming" keyboard was the very, very first Logitech G15 released in 2005. The big, ugly ass mofo with a gimmicky screen. All things considered, I loved that thing. However, all things must come to an end. After 7 years of love and use the paint started peeling, the media controls went kind of wacky (if they worked at all), the backlight was dimmer than it used to be and the damn thing just didn't seem to be able to get clean no matter how much I tried (I eat at my computer a lot).

I recently put it to bed and picked up a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013. This wasn't my first mechanical keyboard, having grown up in the DOS era when such keyboards were common; and there was initially a every big nostalgic factor for me. However, all things considered; it's just not that great of a gaming keyboard IMO.

To me, the key press angle seems a bit tight (you have to, generally, press pretty good from the top) and the Cherry MX Blue switches were an odd choice for gaming due to their click pattern.

as you can see, it has some give on the initial press before it registers

Also, blues are LOUD. I do let's plays and the key clicking is very noticeable. So, I think I'd like a quieter keyboard.

HOWEVER: I love typing on this thing. I'm a programmer by profession, and I've been working on my laptop for the last few months and I will honestly go home early just so I can plug my keyboard in and work with it. It's a typists keyboard to me and I think I'll be working with it for a long time to come.

So, basically, I'm probably going to take my Blackwidow into the office and use it there and I'm looking for new gaming keyboard recommendations.

A TLDR of my preferences:
- Keys easy to press.
- Comfortable.
- I'd really like it not to look like a space ship. Yes I see the hypocrisy in saying I love the first generation G15 and also holding this aesthetic preference.
- must NOT be a chiclet style keyboard. I HATE THOSE WITH A GREAT PASSION.
- Dose not need to be mechanical, membrane is fine so long as it can register more than 3 key-presses at a time.
- If it's mechanical: cherry Black, Reds and Browns would be preferred switch types.
- I'd like a backlight, but not required.

Please share with me your opinions and experiences with keyboards! Also, if you know of one that fits these preferences please let me know!
