Kicked from a Game?

It was the first time I ever played Team Fortress 2. I joined a match, and joined as the spy. I think it was Egypt. I ran up, and stabbed an engineer, and sapped his turret. I was almost immediately booted. They said it was because of bad pings, but I know the truth!
Actually, playing as the spy is probably a good reason to boot someone

For not using the same guns as everyone else. In the game everyone used shotguns but i decided pistols were better but they considered that, i shit you not, "spraying".
(note: spraying was originally used as a short term of "spray and pray" where you hold down the fire button till you get a hit.)
