This book barely met its target.
I read stories everyday of some game getting funded by Kickstarter within hours of being put up. However, things like this, something tenfold more important just about makes it. I really hate kickstarter.

He wants similar cash to game developers for writing a book? Not to mention you need to pay $25 to get a PDF. Most game kickstarts give you a digital download for $15. Sorry, but in my mind he's lucky he got all his funding.

Maybe if he explained why he needs $100,000 to write a fucking book people would be a bit more inclined to donate. Plus, I don't think another book about why Atheism is teh best thing evar is really necessary or important. Richard Dawkins kinda has that covered by now.

He says most of the money goes to printing costs, but yeah I agree that this book is unneccesary. If you've got a bunch of braindead morons who think we're all a bunch of Satan worshipping, murderous rapists with no morals then there's no point even bothering with them. You won't convince them otherwise so don't waste your time.

You hate something because things a lot of people are far more interested in gets funding faster than this?

Important is subject to opinion.

I like games and have no interest in that book. I fund games and didn't fund the book.

It's not the fault of kickstarter if people spend their money on other things.

If kickstarter didn't exist then he wouldn't have got the funding at all so your logic kind of falls flat on it's face there.

It's all down to people who find different things interesting than you do. That is all.
