This thread is for people who have had the misfortune of dealing with today's misguided(and really rude) youth and want to share it with everyone here.

I have a bit of an amusing story to tell. I was in Dubai Mall with a couple friends at around 9PM (most of us were leaving then.) We decided to take an escalator to go upstairs to the parking, and there was this little 8 year old Chinese kid who was eating a jawbreaker (the ones that are as big as a baseball). Nothing wrong with that until he started walking toward us while sucking the jawbreaker, going "You want it, yeah?" (as if we're gay.) I just went, "Kid, I know you like to suck balls, but not in a public place, yeah?" Then the little kid just flipped us off. One of my friends just went "I did that to your mom!"

So what are your stories?

Nah, equally mature I'd say, just with a better skill for wit.

Totally.

I don't know... I don't get to encounter too many of todays youth in public.

Kids who think they are real hardcore for lighting up a cigarette 3 seconds before the train doors open, they are so rebellious because smoking is not allowed on trains and they totally did it.

Well, almost. The kid was being a jerk, whereas him and the friends were just sinking to his level.

Mum/Mom jokes are not witty.

You're supposed to trounce them in eloquent battle, not go with typical everyday humour.

I bet he was an eloquence talent scout, searching for sophisticated debate on the similarities between a jawbreaker and male genitals.

Poor show sir. You won't get into Eloquence Factor with a rapport like that.

You're 16, and your comments were less mature than the 8-year-olds.

1) You're a hypocrite.

2) No one our age cares about anyone else our age pretending to be mature when we all still laugh at cock jokes.

The mum comment was appallingly crap, saying nothing is better than saying anything that has "your mother" in it. I think crying shows more wit than "your mother" jokes.

I remember these little kids making fun of me because I was riding a purple bicycle that I had borrowed from a friend's sister.

I'm telling ya, their eyes light up when they see a chance to make fun of someone.

We may all sound like a stuck record here, but when it comes to maturity I'm jumping on the bandwagon, that was appalling dude.

I loves me a good bandwagon.

I don't know, I heard my nephew say
"yo mama's so fat she fell in love and broke it!"

I was charmed by that one I must say.

That was equally immature of you. Moreso in fact; 'Your Mother' jokes and their ilk are the refuge of those with nothing to say.

OT: Do you honestly believe you're more mature if you reply to the asshole instead of ignoring him?

I would have just laughed at the for his stupidity and arrogance then keep walking and ignoring him and not giving him satisfaction of my attention.

How can someone who's 16 write about "kids these days", seriously. Regardless of what you think you don't have some sort of monopoly on maturity and intelligence, especially if you're going to respond to an 8 year old with "your mum" jokes.

Teenagers hanging out at the mall, complaining about the rudeness of 8 year olds sure feels like the height of irony, considering I've never observed a speck of politeness from any group of kids who hangs out at a mall

I remember a kid in the neighborhood used to make fun of me. One day he said "(GENERIC CHILD COMMENT)" Responded with a bit of intimidation. never had any problems after that, in fact him and his friends avoided me...peace at last.

Yeah, what's wrong with kids these days? I mean come on, what kind of rude little brat DOESN'T use childish double entendres? And of course, only a sophisticated, 16-year-old adult would be mature enough to pick a fight with an 8-year-old, and end the conversation with a "your mom" joke!

I sure wish I was as mature as you...
A friend of mine said the your mother joke...
