Aye, that would certainly be an interesting and engaging game, but it completely avoids human interaction, and the violence between people is exactly what I was trying to bring up.

Still, I would definitely play that game.
Yeah but instead of human violence you would still get animal violence.

Which is also a big issue, I mean Lara Croft is killing bears for 10 years now and no one cares. Call of Duty 4 kills islamic crazy people "ITS THE END OF THE WORLD!"
True, but cruelty and violence to animals is completely different than human beings killing each other. Plus, those bears tried to kill Lara first.

That's the thing: if the game was effective in portraying violence as a terrible thing, people wouldn't want to play it. It'd be unsettling, and that's exactly the point.

No its Lara fault! She was the one that barged in into the T-Rex lair! Ol' Rex just came from work tired and he just wants to sit down, drink a beer and watch some football and guess what! This big titie bimbo comes in and ruins Rex day! Totally not cool.

Edit: We could also add some people in the middle of the jungle/forest. The player could steal from them food, kill them to take the house or just ask them. Its just a matter of pulling it right.

I got it!

To add to the Jungle/Forest idea and put in the house in the middle why not...

The player finds this house, in which the owners are hunters. And now the player has some choises. He can kill the hunters! Steal all of the hunters belongings, so they cannot hunt!Burn their house! Ask the hunters to get him out of there!leave them alone! Or get killed by the hunters...

See it would offer the player a choise and a issue. The game would never say why are they there, the situation just would happen. A bit crude but...

Edit: By not knowing these hunters, he wouldnt know if they were good or bad. Like at the end of the game if the player made it out and choosed to kill the hunters a newspaper headline would pop up "2 world knowed tiger scientiests found dead in *jungle/forest player was*". A certain bad mood would come, and the player would realize he just killed two innocent people for nothing.

Of course these 2 people would be random generated and so would the headlines so the game has some replayability if the player find the house.
