I have no problems killing bugs, but I won't go out of my way to kill the innocent/less annoying ones. Or even if it's just a small spider, I'll mostly just let it outside. I guess it more depends on the mood I'm in. And I try not to step on ants.

This reminds me of the time I pulled all of a crab's legs off when I was eleven or twelve.
That's kind of fucked up.

I've never had a problem killing insects, I'd never hurt something bigger though.

I find it morally acceptable to kill them when they invade my home or come too close to me, especially when they creep up on me. If I see them before hand I will try to avoid them and if they are in my house I will try to catch them and put them outside. But if they bite me, dead, surprise me, usually dead.

I dont like killing them. They are just doing thier own thing, If I see a spider I will either leave it be or put it outside.
That is unless they are either biting me or flies. Flies can piss right off the annoying bastards, moths I dont mind since they dont make a high pitched buzzing sound as they repeatedly fly into the window.
I use to catch flies and feed them to the spiders in the garage, and got one to grow massivly with all the extra food I gave him.

There pests and as such wouldnt think twice bout killing anyting in my house, as long as the creature didnt suffer, though im not sure just how much an insect can suffer. Outside your house is different though, i dont think people should fuck with the eco system, or part there of, for no reason.

if they're on a side walk outside, leave 'em.

If they're buzzing around your head and won't go out the freakin' window you opened, then their life is forfeit.

One should avoid killing them, but if they won't go away then I find it completely okay.

When you're in their habitat though, when outside, I don't believe anyone has teh right to kill a bug who just has the gull to cross your path.

Recently, I've been trying to not kill them... Unless they're large and have many legs, in which case, I kill the fuck out of it.

If it's a fly or a wasp (been stung by wasps twice) in my room then yes. I don't mind spiders as long as they stay near the ceiling and away from me otherwise I'll evict them. Most other insects and similar creatures stay outside and don't bother me.

I don't think so. Bugs will outlive us by a long shot, so I say why not get in some bitter revenge while we're still here.

Do you feel it is wrong to kill insects/other bugs?
If they have no intent on harming you, well, yes.

When he is going for you, that's one, when he is going for your food, that's two, when it's two o'clock in the night and he keeps flying around you, making the loudest fucking noise known to mankind and wanting to suck all the blood out of you

Do you feel a pang of guilt for crushing a bug that wasn't harming you in any way?
Yes, definitely.
I hate when that happens.

I feel a bit stupid if I torture it somehow (even not knowing so), like slap it only so hard that it can't fly around but still tries to move.

All the other way around... DIE YOU BUZZING FU**ER!!!

Theres nothing wrong with killing bugs that are annoying/doing something to you. HOW someone kills them, however... that can tell you something.

In most circumstances i'm a pacifict when it comes to insects; I rescue bees and spiders out of my appartment, but mainly cos of the warm 'good deed' syndrome it gives me.

Right at the moment my room is beleaguered by an army of fruit flies that got a foothold when i delayed taking out the trash, and i'm not having any of that.

Basically I didn't start this war but it is SO ON

OT: But I agree that torturing small creatures is the wrong thing to do, even if they're small. I can understand the idea of venting if you're under strain, but if you can avoid it it's better. You're dammaging a part of yourself as well.

Eh, I get a small pang of guilt on the rare occasion. I don't go out of my way to kill them but all bets are off if they enter my house. Though I have occasionally felt enough guilt and not enough laziness to actually just get a piece of paper and lead them out of those, I usually end up killing them. Not in a torturous manor of course, but killing them.
