The Unsung Hero of Fun?

Does anyone have Killing Floor for Steam Games? If so then please add me; Vironxz

For those that haven't heard of Killing Floor here is a rundown...

It's a 'horde mode' type game where a group of 6 would have to fight up to 10 waves of 'Zombies' these zombies can range from the average 'clot' to the almighty 'meat pound' more of the harder types come in at harder waves, once you reach wave 10 you are presented a boss, a rather hard boss, it usually takes all 6 players to take down the thing and can lead to some good times online.

Recently server hosters have managed to break the player cap which can result in 30 players teams or even up 60 players in one game without lag - this also means that the zombie limit in the wave is raised, for example in 30 man server wave 6 would be against 500 zombies.

The game has its own dedicated community with many modifications and map packs if you search in the right places - the developers have also released some minor DLC for example player skins for 99p but I have never bothered for what its worth.

At the end of each round a dealer opens in which you can buy new guns, ammo, armor and grenades. The game lives up to its orginal in many aspects - due to it being made my a British Developer(?) the game lives up to its royalty and has settings based in London and England - the games voices etc. are also British.

There are five classes available including;
- Medic
- Demo
- Commando

Plus two more.

I'm not reviewing this game but highlighting for others - if anyone fancies a game then add me via steam. By the way the IGN review, in my opinion, underates the actual game.

Thanks,

-Dan

I've heard of it, but I don't actually have it. Been meaning to get more into Steam though, since I bought cheap copies of Psychonauts and Rome: Total War through Steam. I might have to give Killing Floor a look :)

A few things:

1. The boss appears in a 'Wave 11' not on the tenth wave :)
2. People have broken the player limits since launch day - it's not new :)
3. There are 7 classes to play as, not 5 :D

I've played it a few times with some mates. We had tons of fun, though it became very repeatative. We could never get past the easy difficulty, we would always got pwned by like round 7-9

I played it during a free weekend once. I had a great time, but my mates didn't get into really. I regret not buying it then or during the holidays.
