After I get Lost Planet 2 next month, I have been thinking about getting Killing Floor as my next game. I heard some good things about it and ill ask again. Is it good? also do many people play it? becuase it seems to be a co-op game and I would wish to play co-op and not a single-player offline co-op.

Killing Floor is mediocre... until you start working with it. Then it gets to be one hell of an experience.

Comes recommended, and yes, people still play it.

I enjoy the game a lot. It is great and all, but it has a single major problem: sometimes it doesn't work! I restarted the game 4 times and it still didn't work. As I said, I enjoy the game, but the glitch sometimes ruins the game. By the way it happens while loading maps.

If you enjoy a much more difficult game in a similar vein to L4D1 or 2 with absolutely horrid voice acting, (so bad that it's funny), I recommend it.
The levelling up system is interesting and rewarding, and it really captures that feeling of being "the last survivors on earth". Plus it's pretty freaking cheap.

I've been playing a year now and I have never encountered that glitch once. Maybe you need to update or something.

The single player is super hard starting the second wave on normal. Only if you're alone. Otherwise, get ready to blast a zombie's head off.

Quoted for truth. And that its fun to plant about 50 pipebombs in one spot and make the patriaarch walk on it. :D

Don't play it alone or you will never beat it. I got it on offer on Steam a while back and love playing it with a few mates

It's an alright game, nothing special in my opinion though. It is hard (which is a good thing) but it gets stale quite quickly.

There are loads of custom maps and it is easy to find a game though, a lot of people play, quite a few people play here as well. Played quite a few Escapist KF games, so join the group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Escapist-Killing-Floor-Group] if you get it and invite us to a game!

Indeed, it does. But you have to a stay long way from the blast or you die.
