Killzone 3 confirmed

I checked up at IGN and it seems that Killzone 3 has been confirmed. though this isnt a big shocker and most people knew it would be coming but its nice to see it confirmed.

so people who played the first one what do you hope they do in the third game?

I'd personally like to see it on the next Playstation. There's just not much more they can do with this generation, graphically, despite what PR people would like to have us believe.

Killzone 2 was a real step in the right direction, so pretty much a solid co-op system and even more epicness would seal the deal for me.

Given the ending of the second Killzone, this was inevitable.

I'd love to see some co-op, as it's a mystery why the second excluded it so willingly.

Yep, its pretty much supposed to be the big gun taking on Halo for the PS3. Personally I found it too gun-metal grey and brown. I'm waiting for a Resistance 3 since I loved the ending of 2.

Maybe they could implement the squad (well kinda) control from the PSP game? That would be pretty cool.

The first Killzone is still the best.

Why? Because it had split-screen multiplayer with bots!

Why do so few next-gen game have this feature!?

Splitscreen is seen as to old fashioned todays HD generation. But if more than enough people want it I'm sure they'll put it back in

I just hope they focus a bit more on the single-player this time since it was rather forgettable in KZ2.

I know you can change the controls. It's not the button layout that's my problem.

It's how incredibly stiff it feels when playing. I hate that. I once played Modern Warfare for an hour or two, then switched to Killzone 2 and felt handicapped.

Make the gun not fill up so much of the damn screen when you aim down the sight, for a start.

Was I the only person to play this online and not have a clue what was happening, they also seemed to be very short matches.

Well I'm very happy to hear that. I expect Killzone 3 to be as awesome graphically as Killzone 2 but I would like to see a better story. Anyway, can't wait for it to be released!

You can change the control to the CoD layout (essentially) with Alternate 2 (I believe) and turning off toggle aim. But even with the controls fixed I found it to be a very bland and meaningless game.

Once I got past awe at the graphics (which didn't take long, I've seen better, as a PC gamer), I couldn't stand the game. It was incredibly mediocre.

I think it was unofficially announced all the way back in 2009 with that movie ad.

I probably won't pick it up, found the second part to be decent and only picked it up at 20 pounds. If they can work in some coop, however, it'd be a whole different story.

Awesome! I love the series, and can't wait for the sequel. Hopefuly it'll still take place in Helghan, as I loved the ambience.
