Killzone 3 Story Trailer. "Wow..."

I loved Killzone 2, but was going to hold off K3 till I get the money, but wow... I really want to pre-order this...

The two Helghast characters that are shown in the trailer are voiced by Malcolm McDowell and Ray Winstone.

I really hope the story is good is this one, because other than the ending I thought I lead up was pretty weak. Also when characters died I didnt feel anything. The campaign was a blast though, Heres to hoping for the best

You know, it might be really nothing special for some of you, but I'm a sucker for epic scenes and overblown pathos and stuff.

Oh, and it looks far better than K2's already impressive cutscenes (I said cutscenes, not characters... honestly, Rico can shove it).

Epic trailer. The voice acting is extremely well done and the Helghast are the best enemy ever created. How many people would say they want to be on the Elite/Brute side of the war in Halo?

The Helghast power struggle always sounded interesting, and now that I know it's between Alex DeLarge and Ray Winstone it's become even better. I really wish Sev would just defect already, after what Rico did at the end of Killzone 2 all my sympathies for the ISA (what little there were) totally died. If you read the backstory on Killzone.com it just becomes more apparent that the Helghast really should be the protagonists.

Looks epic, but I still need to finish KZ2.

Also, Sev's voice sounds less badass than the old one.

There's only one thing I enjoy more than killing Helghast styled space marines.. and thats the mass slaughter of the pathetic ISA forces...

Honestly the Helghast should have won in the first game, its like two equal numbered forces of space marines and imperial guard squaring up yet the guard get lucky on every single go...

OT: (ahem) Awesome, can't wait for it to come out, just really wish the Helghast wouldn't suck for once.. hopefully the ISA just retreats and leaves Helghan.. they couldn't possibly defeat the massive re-formed Helghast army.. even if some corrupt bureaucrat is in charge of them..

This promo made it REAAAAALLLLLLY hard to stick to my policy of withholding judgment until I see some game-play footage.

Gameplay footage is out already. It's more of Killzone 2, with lighter aiming (which I personally don't want, but the majority do it seems), better animations and jetpacks. It's been made a little more "run and gun" friendly as opposed to cover based shoot outs of KZ2, but cover is still there and most likely necessary at some points.

The problem is, the ISA can't retreat. At the end of KZ2, their fleet was blown to shit. The only thing left is a few ground forces with Narville and judging from the trailer maybe one or two crashing starships.

They're stranded on Helghan.

One thing I notice is that it appears that a significant amount of time will pass during the game. We see Rico both with his KZ2 look, as well as his extra hairy look as well.
