"Guerilla mentions that ?To increase longevity even further, we plan to continue support for the title well after launch ? and yes, DLC multiplayer maps will be released free of charge to ensure everyone can play.?"

SWEEEEETTTT!!!! I doubt this will become standard but this make me very happy. :D

Also they said all guns are unlocked from the start, same with abilites.

Hm, that certainly is a neat concept. I WAS thinking about getting that game.

You know what? I did not give much of a crap about the new killzone, but I will buy that game to support the developers if they end up doing this. If the game gets big enough sales maybe things like this will become a little more common place, and $15 day one dlc packs will become a little less common (a man can dream can't he?).

Relic has done this with the Dawn of War franchise. Each version of their game is patched to be fully multiplayer compatible, minus factions you'd get for buying expansions. So a person with only Chaos Rising could still play against someone with just vanilla DOW 2 or a person who has Gold edition.

It's a smart strategy, as it doesn't segregate the userbase.

That's good news for the consumer but I wish developers in all media would call moratorium on using "shadow ..." in any product title. It's become so overused that the word has begun to lose all meaning.

"Dark Bad" would of course be fine.

Now if I could only bring myself to find interest in this game...

I like FPS but at least the first 3 seemed to have some sort of entity (the first one not so much) but this one really looks like the same thing over and over again (in relation to other FPS's).

Things like Destiny and The Division suprised me a lot more. But hey, free DLC is free DLC and they do get my respect for that.
