Hello, I'm writing an essay about technology being used for uses other than the intended use. One of the examples I'm using is Microsoft's Kinect, which has been modified to fit a lot of uses other than gaming. The main example I have right now is that doctors in Toronto, Canada, have been using it to help manipulate images during a surgery. I'm wondering if anyone else knows of any other "good" hacks for the Kinect. Ones that have more use for society / people than making a fake x-ray, for example. I've tried googling for this but all I can find are silly uses of it, such as the previous example, fake x-ray.
If anyone knows of any I'd be much obliged.
