Threadlords, I am sure this has been done before... but... Meh..
Anyways, so I know I'm a bit late but I'm looking at trailers for Kinect games. The first thing that pops into my mind is "Wow" however this is followed shortly but a "Didn't the eyetoy try this shit?"
Now, its no secret that the eyetoy wasn't very good, and that we've come so far since then, and the Kinect is so much better. But I still can't shake the feeling that this new and shiney peice of technology Microsoft are flexing is going to follow the eyetoy's progresson. That is, be fun when its all new, then get boring, then get kinda fun when you have lots of people over, then really boring and finally, never heard from again. Sure, this progression might take a bit longer but I feel it'll end up there in the end.
Another itch I can't scratch is the market its aimed at. Its obvious that Kiniect is aimed primarly at the casual crowd, but I've never seen the 360 as a casual console. I can assume they are trying to open up a new market, however they are fighting with the casualmachineofdeath that is the Wii.
Needless to say, I may still get it, will play it and will get excited about it.
