When they start releasing first-person survival/horror games, I'll be intrigued. I will pick up so many discarded objects.

i think that kinect should not be used for controlling games all by itself. it should be used to enhance controller games. like for example. tilting to the side to dodge something or look around a corner, shouting commands to npc allies(wait here!,attack!, defend!, retreat!). maybe even stuff that doesnt really matter in the game line how LBP used the sixaxis to rotate the head and the D-Pad for facial expressions. but for gos sake dont just make a bunch of shallow hd wii games.

Sports, Dancing and Fitness games then? Oh and a Sonic game, and we all know how good those have been lately. I never thought I'd see the day where housewives/househusbands (p.c or what?) get a better Christmas video game release than I do.

So the first few titles are shovelware. Nothing out of the expected.

true, its just that the casuals cant smell Microsoft because theyre mouths and nostrils are already full of the much cheaper Wii.

I now laugh at al those who will/have paid for a kinnect "oh no guys just give it time you have no idea what developers can do with it!" Indeed a new dimension in shovelware experience bowling, dancing, dancing, dancing, pub games, darts! POWERHOUSE EXCITEMENT!

The only thing that even remotely stirs my interest is Harry Potter. Because A) I'm a big Harry Potter nerd, and B) I like the idea of waving a wand around. But I could do that on the Wii. Or behind closed doors where people can't see me.

Just as expected. Remember neither Move or Kinnect is aimed at the traditional gamer, We must all remember that the Wii sold a metric crapload of identical shovelware.

You can't fault Microsoft for not trying - they really pushed it not to be a wii clone. However, IMHO, that particular boat sailed quite a while back.

I'm afraid these things will bomb and we all will be affected by it, as Extra Credit quite eloquently pointed out.
