Yes, this trailer is ORGASMIC! And I will totally be buying a 3DS just for this game. Hell, I bought a PSP just for Crisis Core and BBS, and it introduced me to so many games I would not have played otherwise, so I'm hoping it'll be the same for the 3DS as well.
That being said, after seeing the trailer, I kinda wish I hadn't... Go figure...
Don't get me wrong, I love Kingdom Hearts and I plan to get Dream Drop Distance(already have a 3DS, thankfully. Now if I could actually FIND Re:coded and 358/2 Days >__>) and I'm very much looking forward to it. But my anger is coming more from your assertion that your opinion is better than mine, in a matter-of-factly manner(not directly stated as such, but that is certainly how it's coming off to me, even if you don't mean it like that), than it is from the fact that you need 4 consoles, at the very least, to play all the KH games because I have a PS2, PSP, PS3 and a 3DS, so I actually can play all the games. That doesn't, however, mean that I think it's any less bullshit.Battleaxx90 said:Snipped for brevity.
Yeah, about that whole "assertion that my opinion is better than yours" thing...ExiusXavarus said:Don't get me wrong, I love Kingdom Hearts and I plan to get Dream Drop Distance(already have a 3DS, thankfully. I'm not too worried about it. I meant to add the bit about me being unable to watch the trailer but look forward to it anyway, in my original post, so it didn't look like I was appearing for the sake of bitching about the console split ordeal. But it appears I'd forgotten to, so the misunderstanding isn't entirely baseless.Battleaxx90 said:snip
I hear you on Sanctuary. It really isn't one of my favorite songs from the series and personally, I think it's getting old. But if it means anything, Birth by Sleep uses Simple and Clean.AyreonMaiden said:I'm what you'd call a KH hater, for the whole multiplatform-splitting-of-a-unified-story thing, even if I DO own all the platforms the games are on. There has never been a stupider idea than that in my opinion, but...
In spite of that, their trailers find a way to make me hype as fuck. I've never played BBS, and I never finished 358/2 Days, but I still get pumped whenever a KH trailer appears. People swear up and down that the only games that truly matter are KH1, CoM, 2, BBS, and 3D. I might finally give the series a second chance. It's not ideal, but I can deal with 3DS/PSP games cause they're on par, quality wise, with the PS2 games.
Unless 3D reveals that 358/2 Days and Coded was important. Then fuck that shit. The story isn't so good that I'd buy seven separate games for all the consoles I own.
And can we bury Sanctuary already? Get someone else to do a new song.
Believe me, Days and Re:Coded are important. Its not "If you don't play it, you won't have a clue about what's going on" important, but rather "Certain cutscenes in the games will make scenes in 3D make more sense" important.AyreonMaiden said:In spite of that, their trailers find a way to make me hype as fuck. You know, I had Days for a while, and I gave up on it after 16 or so hours. I couldn't stand to see Agrabah anymore. That and I really just hate the Org XIII...I might get that KH 10th anniversary box set when it comes out in America. I thankfully know the plots for 1, CoM, and 2 like the back of my hand so I don't have to replay any of those.Battleaxx90 said:Believe me, Days and Re:Coded are important. If you're not interested in playing them, however, you could just read a story synopsis online somewhere. They're nowhere near as fun as playing the games themselves (Believe me, the DS games are also on par with the PS2 games, but for their own reasons), but it's cheaper than buying a DS.
Just... whatever you do, don't give up on this franchise. Ever. Believe me, stick with it and you'll be rewarded. Big time.
