I was just wondering how many escapists's have seen the video game 'lecture's' by Kirithem on youtube, because i think they're really good. I've found them really interesting and informative. His video's have quite a few views, but i don't think i've ever seen someone talk about them. So yeah, just in case you missed it, here is his youtube channel; [link]http://www.youtube.com/user/kirithem[/link]. And if you have seen them already, i'd be interested to see what you think of it.

Btw, i'm not the creator of these videos, nor do i have any personal connection to these video's. So i'm not advertising (not officially anyway lol).

Yeah, I've followed them from when he did them for school. They are good, although he tends to repeat himself quite a bit in the earlier ones.

Shame he does them only rarely.

::EDIT:: I wonder if the Escapist would hire him?

Yeah, it is a bit of shame they're only made so often.

Lol, he does seem to fit the style (in the description it says his video's are inspired by the zero punctuation format). But i guess he doesn't really review any games, so that might be a problem.

He's incredible.

Only because of him did I get to know more about the nigh-aborted "Six Days in Fallujah" game and all the controversy surrounding it.

His stance on the potential of videogames as an art form is inspiring.

I just watched this and it is good, relaly good points, wish we could do as he says and stand up for video games.

It's very possible. Not in any massive way at first, but do a little contribution, even if it's in some small conversation about how people like the guys at Atomic Games, Jason Rohrer or Jane McGonigal are trying hard to validate games as a expressive new medium.

A lot of people don't know about these things happening, though they are happening. Rohrer even got himself an article on what, New York Times, was it?

If politicians and the media care enough about games to get all riled up about them for their possible influence on children and people in general (Australia and the lovable Michael Atkinson as evidence), then the whole "it's just a game" discourse is definitely going to die out.

I just hope to contribute the speeding up of that process.

Thanks to him I also learned about the Uncanny Valley which I never had a clue about.

This is impressive.

I really didn't expect this guy to be able to tell his ass from his head, but he articulates himself very well.

His videos are really good. They're a mixture of moviebob and zero punctuation, but it's a bit more mature and has less cussing. He makes some very good points and his videos are quite interesting to watch. It's a shame that he releases his videos very sparingly. It's an even bigger shame how little attention that his videos get. Quality over quantity, I suppose.
