Heh... The numbers you gave as examples... Exchange the dollar signs for pound signs, and that's the current UK pricing for all those game.
But do the excahnge. What is a pund worth these days? How many USD? Isnt it like 1.6? So 1.6*40=$64. So games are more expenseive in the UK.

Well, that's what the numbers say. The standardised prices of new games in the UK is £39.99, and in the US, $60, as I understand it. It doesn't add up. So yeah, we're paying more...

Shite...

You call those deals? Wait until Steam's Christmas sale. Those are deals.
This.

It's really hard to justify Paying $39.99 for the Sims3 with steam in the pipeline.

I have see better (leaked) deals at Best Buy and Target. Plus, I have no intrest in any of these games and/or already own them. If I knew where a Kmart is, I might have been intrested.

Remember that UK prices already include tax, whereas US prices are the before-tax price, so the UK isn't as bad off as it seems.

When did this happen? Those colors are news to me. I mean, I'm not really all that interested in a green or orange DSi, but still...

Thats not all the deals, they are throwing in coupons for future purchases for many of those items as well.

Such as $10 coupon with Fable 3, Halo Reach, and Medal of Honor.

You can see complete list here.
