It has a button release, which makes it technically illegal where I live. But I carry it around anyway, since it was a gift and where I used to park on campus was where 2 people got mugged, which is how I would explain it to a cop if asked about it.

I have a number of knives, as does my father.

I have a vast and varied knife collection, alongside a few swords (I like sharp things).

My pride and joy is a Czech-made left-handed lever action switchblade (which, while illegal to carry, is 100% legal to own).

I carry a small Swiss Army Knife with two blades and a few other tools.

Opening things has never been easier in my life. It's so... liberating. I never have to go to the draw with the scissors or find nail clippers!

I have a small pocketknife, its completely blunt and I never use it for anything, also it has a compass but also a tiny screwdriver with a magnetic tip, so the compass doesn't work. That's a pretty big design flaw.

My dad has a kukri (popularly known as the sniper's melee weapon in TF2) that he got from a boot sale out in the countryside, and my housemate Bill and I picked up three WW2 era bayonets from a market stall just up the street from my university.

They came with scabbards and attachments for your belt, too. Very nice set. I remember seeing a market stall with genuine Nazi daggers on sale, eagles, swastikas and all. That stall disappeared shortly afterwards, but I'll always remember the dragon-hilted sword they had. Beautiful.

Love the idea of throwing knifes, I play darts but there are some weird knifes in the kitchen that seem like they were made more for throwing than ever actually cutting things the traditional way... want to throw them SSSSOOOOOO bad you have no idea.

I have a few skinning knives, one in camo for hunting, another made in Toledo my father brought back. I have a KABAR marine fighting knife also.

Spoiler: But my favourite knife is my Bear Gryll's survival knife.

Gerber knife with serrated edge, pommel functions as a hammer, has a whetstone, flint and emergency whistle (which I jokingly call it's anti-rape whistle). Sheath allows you to wear it horizontally across the small of the back.

But my favourite thing is the look and colour, it looks like a tool, not a weapon. I can wear this when camping, cycling, hiking, canoeing etc without feeling that I look like a psycho.

So, anyway. I guess I have a bit of a fascination with knives, but don't own any because at my age it may seem a bit suspicious. But it might be fun to pull a bigger one out if I'm getting mugged.

I was given my first knife at around 4 years old, which I remember because it was around when I learned to ride a bike. How old are you ? And no it won't, don't do that... Unless he has a 4 inch and you pull a machete. Still unless your a fucking psycho, don't do it. You will feel like shit if you end up killing them, and you will likely only escalate the situation either way.
