So, I played homefront, and found the entire thing quite annoying. Forgettable characters, dull shooting mechanics, and etc. And too many crayon drawings.

When I told someone my opinion on why it was bad, they accused me of "nitpicking".

Now, how'm I supposed to judge a game if not by it's shooting mechanics, story, setting and presentation?

You obviously asked someone who could not be stuffed to have a conversation and just tried to end it with a bland accusation.

You're clearly missing the mindnumbing violence and gore, which is actually the nutrients of most of modern FPS gamers, who can't get their rocks off without something blowing up every five seconds.

/sarcasm...mostly

I agree though, it is rediculous. I got into an argument the other day with a guy about music in games. Music of all things. He said that we needed more stuff like Sympathy for the Devil instead of the rock and such that we hear now. I pointed out that while in some games it would fit, in most, it wouldn't and he got pissy. I don't get it.
