I personally never believe Kojima when he keeps saying he won't make another Metal Gear game. Even way back with MGS1, if he didn't want to make another one, why the heck did he end it on a friggin equal hook?!

I really don't know where the hell they could possibly go with the series now. 4 wrapped everything up and the only thing left untouched is being touch on by Rising.

To me what separates a good (if flawed) game from a bad one is that one of them is born out of inspiration and creativity and the other is born out of greed.
If Kojima is done with MGS I say good for him and move on. Giving even larger life to a series that was very much finished (and to a rather sloppy degree at that) will benefit only the publishers.

I think Kojima should make a new IP. I like Metal Gear Solid, but really, the series is done. I want it to end on a high note, not kicking and screaming as it is pulled from sequel to sequel.

Instead, I think he would be given the opportunity to make something completely new.
I dunno, Peace Walker was pretty damn amazing.

I'm a bit iffy about an MGS 4 sequel. I mean...what else was there really to go on? All threats are eliminated, Snake didn't have much longer left, Raiden found Happiness, meryl was at peace...

Only thing i can see happening is, somehow, they reveal another clone of Big Boss who we take over for the game. Don't get me wrong, i love snake a tonne but, i think he really does need to just be left be now and not brought out of retirement again. He and all the other cast earned it: If you're going to have another game, do it about a new group of protagonists.

STOP FAFFING AROUND AND MAKE ZONE OF THE ENDERS 3 ALREADY!

I mean seriously man! I love your work, all of it. But damn if you haven't been cockteasing me about the possibility of a sequel to what is perhaps my favourite game of all time.

You even said you wanted to make ZOE3! I'm right behind you man. Hell, I'd pay you in advance if I could.

Now if only I could convince NamcoBandai to localise more of their SRW series I'd be bloody set for life on Japanese mecha.

I don't think there needs to be another MGS now, especially after the ending to MGS4 (MGS:Rising is different because it's a prequel to that) I really have no idea where they could go from this. Snake's age acceleration only gave him 6 months to live.

Yeah, I'm resigned to him having to make MGS5, too. Of course, unlike him, I don't have to be involved with it.
In any way.

MGS4 ended the series very well... Everything came full circle and ENDED. I don't want to see an MGS5 because there's nothing left to tell.

There's nothing wrong with things ending.. Endings are good, if I was reading a book and someone just kept adding chapters to the back of it before I could finish, I'd get sick of it and quit. A story NEEDS to get a point where it ends, otherwise is stagnates. Snake's story is done.

If you insist on making another MGS Mr. Kojima-san, then give me Portable Ops on a real consol as you did with Peace Walker. OR remake the original 2 games in 3D... you can go nuts with more cutscenes and overly confusing dialogue... and really complete the series that way. I'd back those projects 100%.

I can agree with ya there I really want the first two games to be remade in 3D and there must be an option to turn on the classic 8 bit music as well. Yet I really want him to work on something else mainly Zone of the Enders 3 and on another note wasn't Metal Gear Rising suppose to be a MGS4 sequel of sorts?

I've been waiting for a Metal Gear Solid 3 sequel since 2004, and all I got was an interactive film and a demo for MGS4 gameplay. Now Kojima is just going to skip 4 altogether?

Wasn't Peace Walker an MGS3 'sequel'? I admit I've not played it since I lack a PSP, but as soon as the MGS HD Collection comes out (February in the EU/AU, already out in US/JP, because FUCK YOU EU THAT'S WHY) I will be.

Now I think of it, yes... but I have this suspicion towards console-to-handheld sequels. It just isn't the same.
