I'd only be interested in picking this up if it actually had a proper ending this time. Don't get me wrong, KOTOR 2 was good, but nowhere near that of the original.

Jesus Christ Monkey Balls, it's finally done?

... And it isn't Team Gizka? o_O

Whatever, I'll take it!
Nope, these guys got so bored of waiting for Gizka they went ahead with another one.

And I'm not entirely sure about the droid factory and the missing planet actually being included in the mod. So i'm waiting for the final version.

The ending has been fixed, but I think there's some bugs with it. There's supposed to be a conversation AFTER your final one with Kreia, and I don't think it loads properly. However, there's still lots of restored content on Malachor.

What a coincidence, I just got this game on saturday! and straight away they've announced new content for it?

that must only happen once in a blue moon, either that or I won't get another jolt of luck for a year.

Well, I guess that means no girlfriends until next september...

OH! I just got the joke in the thread title! ha ha...

People should do this more often. Games are often rushed to meet deadlines, since not all studios are Blizzard, Valve, or ID and have to release things on a regular basis to stay afloat. Post-release mods/patchery allow you to add on content that was left out due to time constraints.

I'll wait until the finished mod comes out - the final version (as with all mods, especially such big ones) will no doubt have it's problems. There's no point installing a beta that just means you're going to get loads of bugs straight away.
IIRC the leaked version a while back was almost completely bug-free.

On-Topic: might be time to start a new character.

Sweet! This will come in handy whenever I finally get around to beating the first KotOR.

Does anybody know if it'll run smoothly on a computer that can barely run Bioshock at it's lowest specs and that lags a tiny bit when there's a lot on-screen during single-player Warcraft 3? Or should I go with the Xbox after all?
(I'm useless with computers so I can't simply check the requirements on the game's box)
You have to remember that KotOR is really old, so yes, you should be able to play it just fine. Given that you can run Bioshock, you must have a graphics card that supports shader model 3, so your computer can't be that old.

Fascinating. I loved KOTOR II enough as it was, but restoring the missing content? Awesome. Even though I only have it on Xbox, maybe this computer of mine will be able to play the PC version.

I wonder if you can still buy physical copies of this game. I've been trying to find it, off and on, for a couple of years now.

I wonder why Obsidian didn't ever finish it with a patch if there was all this extra content just sitting in the game unused. Seems like such a wasted opportunity for Obsidian to make good with the gaming community again.

Yes you can. Amazon sells brand new copies of Kotor II still.

Ah, crap. I've tried, and failed, to buy it for Xbox for the whole summer, and now the PC version becomes patched to make it better?
This is why I hate not having a good gaming-PC.

I'm sure you can run KOTOR on it, it's 6 years old and has sectioned maps, if anything you should be able to run it on medium.

Hm... every few months i visited the Team Giszka site to see they haven't completed it, and didn't release their beta... And now these dudes have made it? Where does this come from? Hm, i am not updated on all things on the internet anymore; damn internet getting to big *g*.

Well, maybe i should try the game again. (The ending was pretty magled).

I hate you, destiny!
Its only been out for the past week :D

Been playing through it, there is some really lovely stuff that?s been restored. I?ve always loved KOTOR2, the dialogue and the conflicts between characters, along with their development, is second to none. Kriea alone is amazing, and I?ve never had anyone top her.

True that.

KOTOR 2 could have been so much better than it actually was, thankfully we can finally experience what is should have been.

Granted I'm going to wait a bit for them to smooth out the rough parts and patch it a few times, but when that happens, I'll get it.
