While Master Chief is a well trained person, I can't see him actually embracing the sheer brutality that you NEED in a character for Mortal Kombat. I honestly can't think of a single Xbox exclusive character that is THAT violent.countrysteaksauce said:

But seriously, the demo confirms that MK is going back to its roots, but it much more approachable... Almost too easy though as playing on hard is a moderate challenge instead of me wanting to throw the controller out the window.

As much as it seems like a good idea (Vader's story mode in SC 4 sucked), I think this is that one cameo that actually SHOULD be included into the plot. I mean, with all due respect to NetherRealm studios, but Mortal Kombat plot was pretty lame from the very first game to the last one released, so they actually could go for the parody of it's own franchise story, at least in Kratos' story mode. Plus - Raiden is a God, isn't he? Knowing that, here's the plot - Kratos is still not satisfied after killing every single Greek God except Aphrodite, so he seeks other Gods to kill. There - perfect plot fitting both MK and God of War (after the first one, since it was actually quite good)Logan Westbrook said:

Anyway, am I the only one getting a little irritated with everyone assuming the Xbox is gonna get an exclusive character? The Xbox usually gets a LOT of things either exclusively, or much much earlier, but when the PS3 get's one or two exclusive characters everyone thinks that the Xbox must get one too. I think they would've announced it by now, don't you?
Excellence. I'm actually really impressed at how faithfully they've recreated his animations and gameplay mechanics. Thank Christ he's not involved in the story, I'm actually kinda interested to see the story unfold and Kratos would just get in the way of everything.

Never fear, the 360 will be getting something the Ps3 won't get - but it probably won't be a character. At the moment, the rumour mill suggests an exclusive online mode, though details on what it might be are pretty scarce.Shoggoth2588 said:

MK has cyborg robots that fire missiles, bombs and energy nets; a dude with mechanical arms; psycho-kenesis; swords, sai, spears, axes and arrows; summoning fire, lightening, ice and flaming skulls; ghosts - via Nightwolf; Gods; aliens; shapeshifting; cloning; and finally, Stryker - who shoots people and throws grenades.
Plenty of ways to get Microsoft characters in there. I mean, yeah, Kratos fits better than any Microsoft character I can think of, but there's precedent for some mad shit to happen in Mortal Kombat.
