About six weeks ago I told you guys about how Kyoto animation, the fellows responsible for the wildly popular anime, 'The Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi' have been a little bit naughty to their obsessive fanbase.
I told you about how they pretended their new series was a rerun of the old, then slipped new episodes into the middle of said rerun, ensuring that the only people to see them as they aired would be new fans, rather than the people waiting three years for the new series. All in all I found it quite amusing.
More importantly, I told you about how they had re-animated the same episode, with practically identical dialogue and storyline three times in a row. (the characters are trapped in a time loop only one apathetic character remembers) This also proved itself to be amusing, as pictures of Otaku's smashing up their shitty Haruhi figurines testified.
... Here's where I begin to waver...
It's still going on...
SEVEN WEEKS IN THIS FUCKING TIMELOOP! (alright stay calm)
Needless to say Kyoto have balls, a lot more than brains, I've never seen a company try so hard to troll and alienate their customers, it's actually beautiful, but they won't be selling any DVD's.
Just thought you guys might like to know.
Thoughts from anybody who's been following this?
