L.A. Noire console only?

I've been watching some videos of L.A. Noire, and I think it is a very great piece of gaming and how it utilizes motion capture for in-game dialogue and character interaction. I think it's brilliant, and I wanted to play it.

Sadly I've just learned that it is currently a console only game, and they are still on the fence about making a PC version.

Am I the only one downhearted by this? There are likely very valid reasons for why they do not port it over to PC, just like Red Dead Redemption if I remember correctly.

So, am I the only one down about this?

Trust me to sell my 360 for PC Gaming, oh well.

Rockstar rarely makes good PC ports anyways. Grand Theft Auto 4 was horribly buggy on PC release, and they didn't even bother with RDR.

Yeah, its a reason to feel down, but I'd rather play a well constructed game on console than a shitty port on PC.

It's a great game, a breath of fresh air in today's market.

I've always been a console gamer though, and only use my laptop to play things like Minecraft and less demanding titles like KotOR and Planescape Torment, as well as the Source Engine titles like Half-Life and Portal.

I was also looking forward to it but then I remembered it's Rockstar. IIRC Red Dead should be getting a PC release. It's been like this with GTA IV, where they release it on PC many months later, I'd expect the same for L.A. Noire.

Edit: It seems I'm mistaken, could've sworn I read that RDR looked likely to be getting a PC release this year but I can't find that info anywhere =/

You've contradicted yourself there a bit XD

but personally im not too beat up about it, personally ive always thought rockstar games felt better on consoles, but obviously that doesnt mean others shouldnt be able to play it on the PC if they want.

Unfortunatly it must not be financially viable to make a PC version, otherwise they would have im guessing.

I have a PS3 and 360 as well anyway, but I'll be honest, I'm not particularly impressed by what I've seen of it.

Play The Witcher 2 instead, be happy!

And the reason its not being ported is because Rockstar are publishing, Rockstar have always been terrible with PC ports, and Bondi probably want to move on to the next thing.

Yeah that does kind of suck. And I bet it could work pretty well on the PC if Rockstar put the effort into it. Although I haven't played the game myself so I can't really claim that until I've tried.

Yeah, it sucks. Fortunately I can console myself with the Witcher 2.
I see what you did there...

Yeah, it kind of sucks. It's not like developers are gonna lose money making PC versions of games. But I've seen some shitty ports in my time, and would almost rather not have any port at all than one that practically forces your PC to emulate a console before running.

i was upset by this aswell, but i still have my 5 year old Xbox 360 sitting on my shelf, so i went out and bought it, and i have to say, its a unique and fun game, shame my Xbox is louder than a jet and just about clinging to life :(

Would have preferred to have got it on my PC seeing as it is about 1000x more powerful than my Xbox....

True it may be better on PC regarding performance, though there are many more things that can go wrong.

This game is the reason I'm getting a console. It's the third game on a list of console exclusive games that have been bugging me for a while and I really want to play them.
