Shorter spawn times. I do not need to wait half a minute only to spawn as a boomer, a character whose only purpose is to die again.
Yes, L4D is great, but it becomes a little stale after doing the same exact thing over and over. I liked each map for about 3 playthroughs, but after knowing everything about them it wasn't fun anymore.Bored Tomatoe said:Maps maps maps maps! The game needs more maps.
I knew about that before I bought it - TF2 has reliable updates all the time on PC and they haven't even put the Medic ones up on Live yet. Even at that, Microsoft are still making them charge it. So there's a sad face for that, sure, but I'm holding out hope that they will be able to make it free after a while - like with the Gears 1 maps.Codgo said:Its not gunna happen, Valve said recently that it can only be free on PC. Microsoft is forcing them to put a price on the DLC thats coming out soon, hopefully it should be cheap tho.
Also you don't need a gaming PC to run it, i've got friends playing it on old systems and laptops so its likely just as many people are on PC.

Also, it would be nice to add on a Hawaiian/Tropical feel by sticking the survivors in a resort of some kind. Zombies in Hawaiian shirts=win. I also propose that we move the survivors even further into the big city, making them fight the zombies in the streets and running for a police checkpoint. Like No Mercy, but more urban and city-esque instead of the hospital.Lanowar said:A Snow Level - Like the town from 30 days of night or maybe a Ski lodge in the mountains
A Theme Park - Circus, roller coasters, hall of mirrors, creepy carnival music
A Shopping Centre - Like Day of The Dead and Dead Rising nuff said
An Army Base- Start off in the one place the survivors thought they would be safe
And finally, throw in a couple of Half-Life cameos. I'd still love to see "Wake up and smell the ashes" written on the wall of a safehouse.
Well hell, I didn't have anyone to cover me while I was trying to heal, so I beat them off with the aid kit until I could.Knight Templar said:What would be the point, by the time a zombie is on you a melee weapon is going to be useless next to guns.ROFLross said:Melee weapons.
Both way good ideas. The Werebear said:The ability to play a horde zombie while waiting for your respawn as a special infected. Or, immediately shifting you to ghost mode and letting you move into position in exchange for a 30 second respawn timer.
That would be frickin' cool, although it would ruin the four-player teamwork thing. It'd be fun to make and break alliances throughout the game.bmf185 said:I recently thought it would be a cool idea to put two single-passenger escape vessels at the end of a level instead of one big one, forcing the group into frantically trying to kill both the zombies and each other in order to get a spot.
but.. that would actually ruin the games balance.. don't you think? I get that as a special infected your jobs to die.. but.. if the special infected spawn too fast then the survivors will never be able to recover or progress from a scenario where 2 players are down.ZomgSharkz said:What I would really like to see is more special zombies. Like twice as many. And reduced spawn times on Versus.
now THIS is a nice idea.whyarecarrots said:A server browser. Please Valve, it's not that hard...
Hmmm. I think I see where you're getting at. Gonna have to agree with you on it though.Bored Tomatoe said:Maps maps maps maps! The game needs more maps.
