Hey, This is my first new Thread so go easy on me.

Now I'm sure there is another thread just like this but I've had a look and can't seem to find it so I'm just gonna go for it and hope for the best.

Now then, first things first. I love left 4 dead, i personally think it's one of the best games going right now for the pure fact that it takes what everything has been trying to do, like CS:S with Zombie games and that lame game which was released on steam for a while called Zombie panic (If you like Zombie panic, I'm sorry but I think it sucks).

The only problem I'm having right now is that there is no one out there which seems to know how to work as a group. The odd group I get thrown into has some sort of clue but never really gets very far. This annoys the hell out of me for the pure fact that me and 3 house mates played the game on advanced when we got it and then again on expert right after, the whole campaign. It's frustrating because I know that i can get through the levels which a good group, and really after several years of CS:S I don't think it's an issue with how I'm personally playing, since I tend to be the one getting the most kills, and the most revives and what not.

Maybe it's just bad luck, but I always seem to be the one trying to carry my team through the scenarios, and taking out the survivors when I go zombie mutant.

I think what this is ultimately coming down to is I'm looking for people to play with all the time that know what's going on! More importantly I'm looking for a clan or something. If anyone has any help with this please get in touch. If you want steam ID's or w/e then PM me.

P.S. I'm sure most of you will look at this like a wasted thread and want it removed or w/e but I thought this would be a good place to try and meet people that want to play L4D together with people that have some sense about them.

it's true enough. on xbox live at my friends house (i'm getting L4D for myself for pc soon) we killed our own teammates just because they were gung ho and freaking useless and the two of us finish advance with just the two of us. the hell with all these "dumb" human players.

I get the same thing when playing WoW. There's no instance in that game that's particularly difficult with a well organised group, but pull 9 (or 24) people out of the blue and you've got a recipie for a slow and painful death.

I'm getting Left 4 Dead for christmas, once I get the feel for it I might try 'n find ye :p

Really? L4D is the game that made me have hope for the future of XboxLive, I have yet to have had more than a few bad groups...

You're admittedly new here, and since you've been a nice first poster from what I can tell, I'll be nice :D

First, look here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.79315#1008973] we are out there. Join up and give us a "call" when you want.

Second, the forum's search is NOT the box that says Search, I know it's confusing but that's the SITE's search. The forum's search is the one next to "profile/settings". The one that says "Search forums".

I think the core problem with games like L4D is the fact that developers have the mindset that when people play games they'll want to communicate. Very rarely do I ever hear anyone talking on their mics during L4D and this leads to a break down in the game because it revolves around teamwork. You can only get so far with typing or non verbal cues, but when things start to go south or when you start playing on harder and harder modes you really need to be able to form a plan on the fly.
Having teamwork as a core part of games recently has irked me a bit. I don't know what the exact reason for people not having mics is (I mean really you can get a dirt cheap one anywhere for like $7). Though I'm not sure if its a problem of people just not having mics, because the same thing happens when I'm on my 360, people don't ever talk(unless you're playing like halo3 then its screaming fest of idiots).

I do sometimes have a hard time finding 3 other people that are capable of making it through Expert mode without it taking 3-4 hours. But, it's really not that bad most of the time.

Same here, these are some of the of friendliest people I have met on xbox live. And I know its the game itself thats doing it, especially when your constantly healed by "Mumtoucher", and while you reload "PussyPwner" has your back.

I just played L4D for about 3 hours or so, so I i had about 5 versus games, all of which ended prematurely because one person leaves a team....then things start to go wrong and all of a sudden your the only one on your team....it really does my head in. I dont think I even got as far as the final stage, so to speak.

P.S i found the escapist L4D thread thanks to Caliosro and Theo Samaritan (thanks guys)
