I'm not usually the one to do one of these decision threads, and tried not to, but I'm having a tough time deciding. I'm going to be running into $60 dollars soon, and have the option to either:
-Buy Left 4 Dead for PC
-Sell my DS Lite, wait a few weeks until my birthday, grab some money from that, and buy a DSi
My friend says DSi, but he has it and is very one-sided with things. Plus, he doesn't like Left 4 Dead as much as me (it's like my second favorite game), so his answer is a bit unfair.
I also want to keep my DS lite so when I get a DSi, I can have two DS's and trade things between my games without needing some one else.
So my fellow Escapists, I ask you, which should I get?

EDIT: Let me say I do not want to wait for the sequel. While I thought L4D2 looked great and all, I like the original better because it's night setting is better, and I'm so much more used to the maps.

Would you chose a pizza or a fridge? If you want to play a game, buy L4D. If you want to invest in a new gaming system, buy DSi. It's pretty simple.

Save your money for L4D2. It should be coming out soon.

EDIT: By looking at your age, if you do buy L4D please for gods sake don't use your mic or spam vocal commands. We have enough annoying kids already.

Is it abd that on first glance of this title, I thought it said something about LSD? OT, L4D shouldn't be $60, and even if it is, I would probably go for it as the DSi is just a DS Lite with a camera.

I will talk, but I detest mic spamming. So don't worry.

It's not mic spamming that I'm worried about. It's what we veterans of the great zombie apocalypse call "The Zoey Death Screan Bind."

Well considering that neither the DSi nor DS Lite has a slot for GBA games, I would splurge and downgrade to the original DS if you can find one, make some money off of that, and then get L4D and some of the awesome old GBA titles.

If you don't like that solution I would suggest L4D. The DSi isn't worth the price if you already have a working DS Lite.

I've....never heard that term. You implying high-pitch voice? No, I don't have that either. I'm just the same as any of you. Maybe a slight voice difference, but nothing annoying.

Don't buy the first L4D, as the sequel will soon be upon us.

DS Lite has GBA. But I'm not a huge fan of GBA either.

Don't kid yourself. <- Funny
Just remember that the second game is coming out in November. So, there is a chance you won't get much play time.

No, seriously. It's fine.
And I am not waiting that long 'till L4D2. The DSi would come in less time.

Doesn't the Dsi not have a gba port? If it does, then go for it, but nowadays, my ds is mainly used for gba games. L4D is fun, and you can probably get a used copy at your gaming store (I use gamestop, so the used copy applies) for under $60. I'd get L4D overall.
EDIT: Read you don't like GBA games. Then buy L4D and enjoy the zombie massacre.

Well, counting in all the votes, Left 4 Dead it is!
Well, you might buy L4D and then it drops in price... so be careful.
Honestly don't care. I'm quite sure $60 will be fine. Whatever money could have been left over from a possible price drop would not be enough for more than some gum.
