L4D valid guest problems

For some reason, the 360 version of L4D wont let me sign on a guest, and I have live gold. It says it needs a profile with a valid membership. Why is this? I ussually have no problems with guests.

Might want to test your connection. Also make sure you are still a Gold Member

The best idea I can come up with is turning your xbox off and then turning it on again.

I know, it sounds ridiculous and stupid, but doing that fixed my headset.

I have no idea how it did though.
