I was just playing a little Left 4 Dead over live on the 360*. Since I bought it today, I never really bothered checking the achievements before.
Anyway, I died at some point, and figured I'd check them.
Then I saw the Zombie Genocider achievement, famous for being one more kill than Capcom's Dead Rising achievement.
Maybe I'm thinking about it a bit too deeply here, causing me to see connections that aren't there yet. But all of a sudden, I thought of how 3 of the 4 character in L4D2 are black (I'm sorry, I don't refer to them as "African-American" due to me having a problem assuming all dark skinned people come from Africa), with a single white guy in there, possibly to avoid problems concerning racism.
Which is pretty much the opposite opposite of Capcom's last big zombie game: Resident Evil 5.
In which you played a white guy in Africa killing zombies (I'm still calling them zombies in that series, no matter what Capcom says).
Maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there, but keeping that in mind the big change in characters makes a lot more sense.
*My PC is terrible, I should probably upgrade it soon before it can't even run FireFox anymore. That's why I'm playing the 360 version. And yes, I know, Valve probably hates me as a console player.
