Usually, I have a pretty good connection between full green bars and three green bars, but all my friends myself included all get 1 red bar and it lags like crazy. We switched to Modern Warfare 2, connection fine, normal even. But no matter what, we always get 1 red bar in any game mode, even when I tried to join with random folk over xbox live, the problem persisted. Just wondering if you guys are having similar problems and issues, have you been able to fix it? Is it valve's servers themselves (our connection was always fine in TF2 and L4D), any advice?

I believe it may simply be Valve's servers. Many people have been having trouble with the PC servers, so I wouldn't be surprised if the problem also existed in the Xbox version.

Yea, I have been having the same problem on L4D2. I thought it was originally only for the demo, but I seem to a red bar along with everyone else I am playing with 75% of the time.
(For the Xbox 360)

I can't remember where I saw it, but perhaps try to switch the server to "Local" rather than "Official Dedicated" this can be found when you make a lobby and in "Edit Game Settings". If it helps then great! If it doesn't, then it's not like it hurts to try, right?

This should fix it. From what I understand, they're running L4D2 on the same servers as L4D, and the servers can't handle it. I'm not sure when Valve plans to fix this.
