so No, no they aren't and they never have. This is actually a bonus of having dont ask dont tell, there is no possible way to be discriminated against which is why I believe it should stay in place. Its not about being gay, its about doing your job for your country and your fellow soldiers.

I really don't know much about Lady Gaga. All I know is that her music sounds like shit, so I don't pay any attention to her. However my brother absolutely detests her. He knows a lot about the music industry, since music is his passion. According to him, Lady Gaga just wears these outrageous outfits for attention. She's not really insane, she doesn't believe any of the messages she is sending. She just does this to get attention without actually having talent.

Is he correct? I'm tempted to believe he is since he knows more about the music industry than I do. So I wouldn't pay attention to any bullshit message she claims to be making with her weird outfits. It's just a marketing gimmick. And I suppose it is working wonders, since a lot of people talk about her because of these outfits.

I have my doubts aswell, so I'm sorta believing your brother here.

I'm vegetarian, but damn, this plot twist (?) made me laugh genuinely.

And I wasn't pissed of at her outfit; it's not the worst thing someone did. Also, I too think it's not even real meat; that would ... well, smell badly and would be pretty heavy. And imagine sweating under that :S Not very pleasant; having real meat under those lights would be a real pain.

My friend said that (if it's real meat), some crazy ass fan will probably buy it and make himself dinner. Meat with Gaga sweat; must be a delicacy.

Genuinely love Lay Gaga, all the time. I think it's a good sign for the music industry that someone can be this fucking over the top again. It's not even my kind of music normally, I just dig what she does.

With that said, I never took her as the serious statement type. It doesn't necessarily help that she approached it from her usual bombastic direction. So I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Meat suit, while interesting, and definitely Gaga, may take away from any intended sincerity from what she's trying to communicate.

To all the people who say Lady Gaga is a stupid, insane run of the mill pop star you couldn't be more wrong and just plain ignorant. You say she has no talent, yet she is a great pianist and if you listen to her actually sing has an awesome voice. You claim she is stupid, yet as a young artist garnering no fans she decided to take it upon herself to be unique and ridiculous. She borrowed ideas from some of the greatest performers in music history and is now one of the most popular artists.

Say you don't like her music and her look and I can accept that but claim she has no talent and I will tell you you're ignorant and stupid.


I think this video is a nice fuck you to those people. Gaga is singing on her own, playing piano and clearly having fun. Not only proving she has talent but above all else enjoys what she does.

OT- Oh and the way I look at it the meat represents that gay people are not treated as equal humans thus in a way treated like meat. The fact they aren't allowed to be openly gay is kind of like the military saying that gays are lesser humans. That is at the very least the way I interpret it.

I never said she didn't have any. I actually think that Lady Gaga has a lot of talent, but some of the actual music is lackluster. I just think she is over the top in the wardrobe department.
