Red Steel 2.
The whole storyline for that game sucked, that was a big disappointment when it was superior to the original Red Steel in every other way. It was pretty much "you are a badass who has to kill these randomly designated bad guys" with absolutely no characterisation or reasoning behind it. And the whole realistic Yakusa setting was replaced by American desert clans!

Not lame per se, but confusing as hell:
Lords of Shadow:

They never really did explain:
How Gabriel became immortal, and why, after so long fighting for the good guys, he turned to evil.

Seriously, here's how Fallout 1 ends, you beat the final boss and then the Overseer of your vault thanks you and tells you you're a hero, but you have to leave. You have the option then of killing him or not and the game ends of your character walking away in the wasteland.
I liked that ending very much: The wasteland made you a different man, you no longer fit into the encapsulated community of the vault. You have outgrown the vault, you are too "big" for it. Hence you have to go.

Fallout 3. I think we can all agree on that. (No DLC)
I really liked the ending to Fallout 3. It was a good way to end it, having to make a choice about who should be the one to sacrifice themselves.
The lamest ending to games that I can think of would be Resident Evil 5. The ending was just bad. And the end of Gears of War 2, because of the crappy "boss fight" at the end.
The way Fawkes says he can't save you by doing it himself (As he's immune) because it's your 'Destiny'

Fable 2, kill big baddy with one attack, as opposed to Fable 1 (lost chapterss), fight last dragon in existence and possibly become jack of blades.

Limbo.

I love games which can be interpreteted in different ways, Braid being a prime example, but there has to be at least SOME indication and direction to what it means.

Heck, the only reason you knew the girl was your sister was because it was in the game description and then mentioned literally nowhere else.

Now if the end had been sort of a plot twist, and you realise your actually at the start of the game again, and the idea is that Limbo is you just going around in circles and enduring multiple painful deaths as part of your punishment IN Limbo, that would have been epic.

But sadly, it was a open ended thing which made no sense and had no direction for speculation.

Assassin's Creed 2's.

No real ending just a crappy cliffhanger with awful DLC to make up for it.
Did you do the glyphs beforehand? If not, then the ending won't make nowhere near as much sense. I personally loved the end for AC

Enslaved. It tries to pull some crazy Matrix story out of nowhere and I guess it was aiming for a crazy Assassin's Creed 2 ending twist but it just seemed really out of place and was just a terrible ending to the whole journey.
Agreed.

I defend AC2 because the twist pushes things but it also didn't feel out of place, whereas Enslaved somehow turned from a character-driven survival story to a rather odd revenge one.

I'm also sick of ambiguous endings.

OT: KotOR 2. If it hasn't been mentioned yet - I imagine it has though - you people should be ashamed.

It hurts just thinking about it.

Do you really think they aren't going to fill that in in the inevitable future games?

99% of all NES titles follow this logic.

But if we're talking new/recent games...Fallout 3.
Painfully. Fucking. Stupid.

And then Bethesda wanted you to pay 10 bucks for the DLC that would "fix" the ending.

Oh, Mafia 2 is guilty of the lame ending too.

The final mission is pretty good, but the ending cinematic just trails off. Left me with a huge "but...what the..." look on my face when I finished it.

Believe it or not, they made four endings to that game but that was the best of them. I think it was fine though, anit-climactic but still pretty good.

Borderlands anyone?

That was the most anticlimactic boss battle I have played in a long while. So you're telling me I was led blindly to this thing - this giant fleshy bag of god knows what - only to kill it and get nothing short of 'kthxbai'?

Majora's Mask. the game was OK, the final boss was amazing but the ending let the game down more.

I hate to think what the other 3 were like if that one was the best.

Neverwinter Nights 2. Rocks fall. Everyone Dies. All done by a bored narrator over slides. It's insulting that my 20th level characters would be so easily defeated. Although it alludes that they escaped to a different plane, I still feel ripped off since I'm not playing that game, I'm playing NWN2.
Haha! I can consent to a certain degree though after I had played Mask of the Betrayer I wasn't very dissapointed at the original ending at all.
Otherwise I think that the Prince of Persia: Warrior Within had the damn worst end ever as it did not matter what you did at the end since they said at the begining of the sequel something like "You know what happened at the end of the prince's journey? It didn't happen at all, it was like this instead." What where they thinking?

Demon's souls was even worst then fallout 3. All you do is walk out of the kingdom... That's it, no back story or praise just "thx you can go now".
Way to miss the point. That's not the ending, there is no ending. Demon's Souls is more or less Groundhog Day as imagined by Lovecraft (the best way I can think of to put it). It doesn't matter how many times you seal the Old One, you will always be brought back. The nexus is Hell, and you are trapped there for eternity.
