Be it the aparition of a gigantic UFO (alien or not) or just a major slip-up in any part of their job goverments always seem to have a reeeeally bad excuse for things.

I wanted to know if you had any of these official bad excuses, be it from a big goverment or even just a superior (teacher, boss, etc.)

Mine would be, of course, from my precious goverment. THey had beofre tried to close a news channel because it was the only respectable one left in the country, they did manage to close the channel but they were able to broadcast once again as an international network, but six months after that, at midnight, T`was no more. The broadcast had been silenced. TH excuse: A violation of a law about the ammount of comertials played before shos. Such law does not exixst in our constitution.

You spelled official wrong in the title.
Don't post to say that, you might get a probation.

Anyways, teachers banned a certain type of shirt for girls because they were 'distracting'. I understand how guys could sneak a peek but its not like anyone was walking to walls while staring at them. If a girl wants her back to be shown let her, it comes off as the old teachers being jealous of the youth.

The government said they had to explode a whale because it was, like, on the beach, and people wanted to be on the beach at some point. Probably.

We all know it was because it was fucking awesome.

Or being attracted to the youth. The teachers might've been the ones getting distracted.

I just thought that I'd add something I learned during a school newspaper report (it was assigned to me): many teachers refuse to punish students who break the dress code by dressing "too sexy" because they fear sexual harassment claims. Just thought you all would find that interesting. I brought that info to the principal (to get a quote from him about it) and he said that I should get my facts straight before spreading misinformation. I told him that a majority of the teachers I asked were that way. He then insisted that I give names (which I refused. What's he going to do? Punish me for not spilling names? That would have been interesting...).

On to explanations (btw, I'm straight): the "don't ask, don't tell" explanation always seemed a bit flaky to me. That's coming from a former U.S. Army straight male. I don't care if somebody is straight or gay, as long as they shoot the enemy when the bullets start flying.

The British government is excellent at these.
Take your pick from the explanations some came up with for their expense claims.

I remember that happening down in Oregon way back when.

And it was awesome.

OT: Lamest excuse i've ever heard from the man... Terrorists supposedly took down the world trade centers with "air planes". Psh. Everyone knows it was a government test firing of an earthquake cannon.

OooooOOOooooo, controversy!

Wait a second...

OT: That giant spiral thing over Norway (I think) was apparently due to a "failed government missile test".
Bunch of pussies, I'll tell ya.

One of my favourites being "My moat needed claning and my ducks needed a home, so I had a duck castle built."

Activision: WE WANT BRUTAL LEGEND BACK BECAUSE WE SAW IT FIRST AND NOW EA AND TIMMAY ARE BEING MEAN TO US WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Not exactly a government, but boy was it poor. The judge must've thought "Are you freakin' serious!?"

Uh. No.

It was more the, "We put money into this project, and now another corporation is picking up the title and acting like they don't owe us anything."
