English is my native language and I'm in Honors Spanish 2 right now. So yeah, if we're talking about my daily routine I'm totally fluent! I do intend on getting Rosetta Stone and really learning the language though.

i speak fluent english, some would say with a bostonian accent, i just say american (not a native language). in addition to that i speak fluent danish and polish, plus enough german/spanish to read and speak my way through things down there. add to that the easy comprehension of norwegian and swedish for danish, and slovenian for polish.

i can make sense out of most european languages as i have knowledge of the two major language roots (latin and slavic(some slavic itself derived from indo-european roots)).

i currently reside in denmark

I speak Dutch, English and a little bit of German. I almost forgot everything from the four years I had French on school and Latin... let's not get stated on that.

Pretty good English and Japanese (my major).

Intermediate Korean (I know enough insults to start a brawl in 5 to 10 seconds though)

And a list of languages-I-have-studied-for-some-amount-of-time-but-am-basically-shit-at:

French
German
Russian
Latin
Mandarin

To evil raven665: you don't really need any special software for Japanese (or Chinese or Korean etc) input. Just check your Windows language configuration, install Japanese and type away.

To jamanticus: a little bit of guessing here, but does it mean something like... MINE! IT'S ALL MINE!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!

I said "I've had two years of Japanese classes."
I see, I'm on my second year, but my teacher sucks hardcore and doesn't teach us anything. So I'll probably just go and get a Rosetta stone.
That's interesting. How often do you practise? Not all of it is down to the teacher.
I usually practice whenever I have free time, but that's really rare now a days >.<.
Japanese takes a TON of practice outside of class. I speak in Japanese around my friends a lot just randomly. I think before I speak "How can I say this in Japanese?" and promptly look it up if I don't know. Constant practice. It's ridiculous.

Yep, you nailed it, Airhead.

I was thinking of putting that up as my motto in my profile for a bit before deciding that very few people would understand what it meant...

Well, I'm impressed!

But I got that only because all the words are very basic. My vocabulary sucks big time. I'd like to get back to Latin sometime, but there's only so much study I can handle at once.

And putting up mottos no-one can understand can have it's benefits :)

I'm English, I'm from England, still live in England, and I only know English. Indeed I probably should know another language but I suck at that kinda thing :/
