Laptop battery...

My laptop is plugged in but not charging. I don't know if it's the battery or the charger yet. Any help?

Have you pressed the socket switch?

Take the battery out and see if it'll run off the mains. Is it a Dell with a universal charger?

Did you overcharge it before? Charging it too long can cause it to fry and lose the ability to hold charge or even charge altogether.

yes I have. I'm gonna do the unplugging the battery thing someone else suggested.

is it fully charged already? seems like the most reasonable explination
