I'm a senior at Simon's Rock College of Bard writing a thesis on narratological vs. ludological structures in open-ended roleplaying games (such as they are), and I have a technical question I can't seem to solve. I only have a laptop (a dual-booted Macbook Pro), but I need to capture some images from a game on my 360. Now because it's a laptop, I don't have a PCI slot to install a capture card, and ALSO because it's a laptop there is only a VGA output, so there is no obvious way to turn my monitor into a subordinate system for whatever is happening on the screen of my videogame. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to work around my obvious technological limitations. I was thinking that there perhaps existed somewhere a PCI to USB converter, then I could buy a capture card and run it through a USB port. Alas, that does not seem to exist either, or I can't find it (it's probably the former, considering the fact that a USB port is probably not fast enough to handle the typical amount of data traveling over a PCI connection).
Anyway, it'd be great if you could help me out.
Best,
Cody
